Evolve Bamboo GTR - How to fit mountain board bindings
As there is a battery pack, you need to be careful. So I used screw in threaded studs that are comonly used in furniture making.

You will also need suitable washers.

Have bought myself some wakeboard bindings & will be fitting them to my Bamboo GTR too. Thanks for the walkthrough vid. How do the feel whilst riding?

Absolutely perfect. You ride the board like a mountain board now. Jump and turn the board. Moves it on from being a simple electric skateboard. Will fit heel straps to complete the 'all in' feel soon. But just the straps work very very well. Exceeded my expectations.

Fantastic mate! I've been asking in some forums about this but really didn't fancy taking the battery off my upcoming new board,this video is perfect!! How is the board for jumps now,can it handle them OK? I guess depending on size.I assume popping up and down curbs etc is OK?

Glad you like it. I'm surprised mine haven't broken off yet. The bindings broke at the ratchet mechanism, but fixed that so all good again

To be honest my jumps are modest. If I was going larger I would go through the board after removing the battery pack. Easily done as well. May be that's next?

@@SimonPass230267 well if you decide to do a battery removal binding fit video I would greatly appreciate it. The plug screws look like they would do but yeah! I can understand the anxiety over pulling them through! I may do it as a temporary measure👍

@@pea-dub I may well do. Just working on my next project. Converting my bikes to e-bike. Just completed my second where my Scott 29er MTB has now got a 1000w motor and 20ah battery and cruises at 38mph on the flat. It's bonkers. Video to come.

Justin, one for each foot I would suggest! I use the board around the green lanes near me. I do plan to take it to the nearby Swinley forest MTB track near Bracknell Berkshire at some point though.

How old is this board go over bumps and rocks and stuff? There’s an awesome bike trail I go on and I was thinking about getting this board but I worry about some of the bumps and tree roots growing underneath but the tires look big enough to absorb all that. What are your thoughts? Thanks for the video.

Pretty well offroad. I go down green lanes on mine, the same as I do on my mountain bike. And with bindings you can also jump and with the bindings the board goes with you. It all feels pretty natural. But I also use full pads, wrist guards and a full face helmet! I've had mine a couple of years now and love it.

@@CyberScott86 I know they aren't cheap, but if you love skateboarding, you will be amazed by one of these with offroad wheels. Most just have the offroad wheels as they will go anywhere. Endless carves and the fact you have a brake is epic! But buy a good full face helmet and pads with wrist guards. If you don't fall off, you aren't trying hard enough.
