Duty officers get their own events after they're in the cake via Delphic Oracle, or in Michaels case in certain instances the trial of knights package

Huns invasion gives you a chance to buy the crystals for smelting, if you have nothing else to buy that's where I get my extra crystals unless I buy them from the event
