I've only been playing the game for a month and I just happened upon your videos and started watching I have four out of the five generals that you talked about in this video I have everyone except Elektra damn I feel lucky
Has anyone ever added up the total cost of loss of resources for healing and the cost of traps destroyed and damaged during the undead event? I seriously suspect the rewards are not that much greater than the cost of losses. Has anyone taken a hard look at this? And yes I do not trust Evony. Actually, I have been considering quitting based on the constant bugs, marketing pop ups interrupting a PVP and causing a loss, the constant in game marketing, the garbage generals in a $100.00 pack and most of all the revenue Evony collects versus the quality of their servers and the speed of their network which is total garbage. Constantly lagging! I’m a network engineer with 30 years experience and if I was in charge of the Evony network I would be ashamed to admit it.
You have all excellent points...in fact I stopped buying general packs because I always get ripped off...As for traps...I stopped building any until I reached a size where I take zero losses from undeadand king arthur in BOC. There are similar games out there with better servers.
You forgot the skill “troop speed” for different troop types. On my Johnston I have put range and siege bonuses and ground troops speed. It helped me successfully defend against many troops.
Hey Genghis. I got minamoto and I'm finally a level 25 monarch. Would you recommend I use my runestones on minamoto. I have around 3.4k runestones apparently, will this be enough? I don't think I'm ever going to get my hands on the top 2 unfortunately. Oh yeah, and I followed your advice and I defeated the strongest person on our server. :) It's crazy because he has nothing but mounted. It's a shame he's bubbled because I doubled my archers since last time :)
Hi Genghis 🙋 assuming it's impossible to get Alfred the Great.. I have Minamoto (my approved general) and I recently got Electra, it's still brand new. Do you think I should continue with both or just focus on Minamoto?

I'm curious where you think the new range gen Tomyris would fit into into your list? I would assume she would be pure range like mino, as opposed to range/siege of Alfred or simeon?
She is good, but her power comes from being the rally setter, she is one of a kind, and the only general that will increase the war hall capacity...so in some ways shes one of the best generals in the game if you are in an alliance that likes to send large archer rallies
I have Elektra, I have Ranged Troop Range bonus, then I put on March Size,. After that, I went to put on Ranged Troop attack, and it overwrote the march size.I am not certain but so I'll ask here, is March Size totally gone, or just in the background? Thanks!
It’s been overwritten entirely. You just have to keep trying with the lvl 1 skills books until you get all three books to stick. Once they have you can add level 4 books and it will only overwrite the lower level book of the same skill.
Minamoto is the best archer general. Better than Simeon or alfred. If you don’t get this point, you will not be a proficient player. When you see most players using Simeon as their main archer general… of course if you mix archer with siege than it is a different story.
@@gamingaddictswithgenghis after fully cultivated minamoto’s attack is 6% lower than Simeon, but hp is 20% higher. Plus minamoto has skill slots for march size. Most importantly, minamoto’s skill works everywhere, reinforcement especially. Archer’s defense is useless. You might say Simeon has higher defense, but 1% attack buff is better than 100% defense buff for archer
Edward the black prince is also a tavern general and is he not best than Li shimin ?... I mean leaving the march size buff of Shimin's.... Ranged attack overall is high for Edward and on the initial default skill book also Edward has more ranged attack buff...

First skill I put on my general is level 4 but when I won't to put next one I read that on display: The new skill has 50% chance to replace one of the existing skills. Continue to learn? Now I afraid to put next one. I need advice what to do skill that I put first is very good I don't want to loose her. Thanks

Im my 59 days of total stay in my server and Alliance I created (MIW #2 currently) The first events had awesome rewards, I think its a new server thing based on these stuff (server about 60+days old only) The rewards included Alfred,boudica , equipment and skill books. So my Alfred rn running Attack Defence Range (All range) I was wondering is Defence still best stat ? Hp /march size better? mix siege range/attack? Is alfred still #1? Range bonus helps by allowing you to hit from farther away. Your level X archers hit their same level X archers for 1 or 2 more rounds than theirs will hit you. It goes in rounds where all your troops do their thing even when too far away. So if you can hit from farther then you’re hitting them while their range falls short of you.
Ju mong used to be good....but theres so many newer archer generals that are better than him. The problem with Jumong is that you can not put an attack book on him for 25% because he already has a single base skill of 35%...Jumong is a top 10 archer general..

Ive been trying to do the whole use purples first and then replace to red ones but it feels like such a waste, i was hoping there was a better way 🙈?
Li Shimin is the best Archer General available in the tavern. Its not even close, plus he has the march buff...but he is not as good as the top 4 that are unavailable in the tavern. There is a reason the others cost money (Minamoto used to cost money).
So many wrongs in the video. Simeon and Alfred are basically same only difference is Simeon emphasize defense alfred a little increase in hp and much less arch defense. And where this is totally wrong is simeon has more attack than alfred. Jesus Christ just add the total numbers. Oh elektra cultivates higher than minamoto and with ladon on par with Alfred and Simeon. The fifth guy should be Winfield Scott who is better than minamoto if you do not have ladon.
Winfield Scott is not available for free...but yes he is better than LI...the only reason I mentioend LI is because hes the best free general...the first 4 are better than any other Archer general in the game...
