I think quite a lot of your assumptions are off: (a) there is nowhere near 400 active players per server, even if you include farms, (b) servers gradually spend less and less unless they are home to either a super-whale or super-alliance, (c) Evony is losing quite a lot of that supposed revenue to (i) the cut that google/apple/etc. takes and (ii) pack loaders, (d) Evony shouldn't exactly be trusted to report their revenues honestly. I really doubt that they derive an important portion of their actual revenues from low coiners simply because low coiners do not appear to be important to how they run their business. What is important to them is the players spending $600 to $4000 per month on new servers, who are constantly replaced by newer players on a newer server spending that amount. That's also why the coin strike will struggle to make an impact - because it is virtually impossible for the organizers of it to reach those players. What also might be important to them is the access they get to people's devices and their relationship to the Chinese government, but that is another story...
You haven’t considered that the whales make the high spenders want to spend more, the high spenders make the low spenders spend more and so on… and you highly underestimated the amount of people doing 2 cakes a month, unfortunately

The logic in “i just got clapped by 5500 buffs let me spend more” is crazy. The only thing it should tell you is to find a different game that isnt rigged around top players spending 10k a month. Its like a bunch of crackheads willing to do anything for their next fix. Play cod or something you dont need to pay to be good at and practice if you’re that desperate to be a top player 😂. To think people spend in a week what i have into my account 3 years later says enough cause i got plenty of jaw dropping reactions telling family i spent 10k on a phone game
The bot is compensation for the money. Tons of people only use it to try to keep up with the wallet warrior scum. The money leads the bot, not the other way 'round.
Yep, Botting kills a lot of "low" coiners. Seeing 6 Y5's disappear off the map within 30seconds of spawning just makes people feel like the game has turned into a farce. Our server we would normally have 20 people buying at least one pack every event with 5-6 "high" coiners. This event so far 1 higher coiner and 3 players who have brought 1-2 packs.
Evony needs vip leagues. Vip 16 an under, 17-19, 20 an over , there are some really good FTP ghosts out here , stupid when you play money buff keeps that sit behind billions of troops.
First of all there’s two cakes per month and the big spenders aren’t spending $5000 a month. They’re spending $10,000 a month minimum. And first off free to play is free to play if they’re spending then they’re not free to play they would be considered low. And you’re basically on a player only spending a cake a month when some of these whales will spend $100,000 in a month so your Math makes no sense! Because all you’re doing is guessing what the Biggs would spend! I’m sorry free to play players do nothing for Evony! I would say a high to medium spender would be a cake a month, and I would say that is majority of the players!
Wrong. The biggest spender which consists of around 3-5 players on each continent, are spending that kind of money. The rest whic are the big spenders are just completing their cake which is $4k a month

What blows my mind is everyone screaming coin strike is a top end coiner who is only complaining now cause their alts got banned. People running around with 5k buffs crying about not being able to cheat the game and the lower spenders 😂. Number of players seems way too high. At least on c5 and below. Even c5 I doubt many servers have even 300 left. Not sure if the west servers are c5? Or is there a 6?
Sorry Genghis, but I cannot confirm your calculation. It´s of course all an educated guess. But you can be sure the average active players are between 300-350 each server. On our server we have 300 active people. 4 are heavy coiners (like a whale almost), 3 are big coiners, rest is mid or low coiners. The top 10 of our spenders spends (verified by controlling spendings in cultural sub event and other sources like alliance gifts) 5-10 times the amount all others on the server spend together. This means, take the whales out and Evony as a big loss of profit if you extrapolate it. But in reality it is not only about the whales. The big coiners are included in the stride, many many of them, so I am and so the comparison is treating a case not matching the actual coinstride. I any case counts. If 200 low coiners spend 20 dollars a month = 4k dollars this matches the spendings of not even one heavy coiner or matches 1 big coiner on our server. So the stride will, others than you predict, have an heavy impact on Topgames´ profits
If, let's say this is correct, then it's the F2P that are keeping Evony alive not the whales, then Evony should be listening to F2P's complaints/suggestions more than the whales, but that is not the case. The regular release of premium generals alone, are for spenders not F2P, if they want F2P to keep playing and spending that precious $10-$20 or more a month, Evony would make their packs affordable, including cakes, premium generals and gears, so that F2P can compete with the whales. Or, I dunno, I'm not even sure I'm making sense. 😅😂

I think this calculation is totally flawed! I doubt there are 400 players in a server. I've been ranked top 200 and I don't even play. I'm currently ranked 187. Two, regardless how many are playing, you are not including outside corporate theme advertising (don't know how to explain). I'm sure movie related themes earned Evony revenue. Napoleon, Kong, etc. Hollywood paid to advertise on Evony by making castle decoration, boss monsters ,special monsters, generals, etc. Let me proove there aren't 400 players on any server. Go to any server and count the total of cities. How many are farms (alts)? When an alliance is full of alts with one real player, there's no way there are 400 real people per server. This game is a game of suppression for a reason. Evony doesn't need anyone to play. Hollywood will pay enough for the game to exist. Evony only needs people to login and chat to watch the new theme related to the next movie (or real life propaganda).
Players complain but yet they go back spending. I watched someone spend 1k plus to get a keep because they think its beautiful 😅😅😅 i wish i had the craze money to do stup*d sh*t too
Small players on my server spend more now than in the beginning, small packs alot of small alloace gifts lvl1 and 2 maybe 20 to 35 a day. And since they made the slot machine a regular event wow a lot of people who mist have been gambling addicts started spending much more than usual.
They need to simply “cap” the cycle spending limit. The whales will all spend to the cap (let’s say cake?), and the lower spenders will be incentivized to spend a little more as the gap will not expand as quickly.
When did f2p mean spending $20 a month? Been playing over 2 years and still legit f2p. I can show you, I still have the 'first purchase' reward available. K35, Gold wings, grinding events.
If a coinstrike actually works effectively, what are we actually expecting out of this? Ideally maybe cake for $1000? People need civ gear and the extra buffs from the sets etc. I think evony would likely go that route if they're smart, but what do I know.... what do you think Genghis?
I think the idea is more readily available civ gear fragments, more reasonable cost or free access to some of the older dragons, that missing slot for battlefield, fix the lag. I think that's most of the big stuff? Even the dev calls have dozens of individuals ideas on what needs to be done though.
Evony is the only one to blame. Make it equal for everyone. Everyone wants a big beautiful castle for example. I don't spend a dime on this game and am good with that.
There are some RU-vid videos that say the revenue from games comes from ~top 3% spenders. There will be NO coinstrike from low spenders. This 'coinstrike' coincided with Evony banning alts. Woo-hoo, that's _exactly_ what low spenders have been asking for! 😂 THANK YOU EVONY! KEEP UP WITH THE BANS! 😅
I am just LMAO. The game is crooked in it is core and you are asking them to fix something! Excuse me for my language but you guys are out of your mind to spend such money at the first place. And, yes, it is also social experiment for me as well. In reality game is pretty much repetitive except for the SVS. But it gives chances to those social losers to make them feel good by taking their hard-earned money.
99.9% of those f2p don't watch your channel, they don't care what is going on in the game, they are there to do pyramids, barbarians, viking, garuda (yes, there are people who find fun doing them every week even after 5 years), RT... In the other words, only thing they care is how much stamina they can get in $5-$20 pack a month... Rest is irrelevant...
So, strike has failed even before it started... In addition, we said we start strike on xyz day, but before that day every big player will spend tons of money to max out new buffs and then let us have strike... We know there will be major event during Black Friday/first week of December as that is anniversary for Evony. How about then we go for strike?! Or then pause will be made to get new generals, subs, skins, dragon/dragon skin, etc... This all "strike" is just because evony removed RSP alts...
Did you validate your assumption that 100% of their revenue comes from in game purchases? When I started playing I started receiving ads for similar games. Good chance they’re also selling data to someone like google for advertising purposes. Only way to know would be a full financial report if they’re publicly traded
yes i also think they sell data....some people think they get money for story lines like godzilla...i highly doubt that and they likely pay for this stuff

You cannot control a Evony worldwide universal coin strike genghis no one can bring a halt to people spending in the game …. No matter what you do people will say ok strike but behind each others back will secretly coin ….. ( they have to if going to stay competitive like athletes need to super train sometimes take illegal substances to be super competitive… same way you evonians need to coin or you can just play for a laugh 🤭 don’t coin and every 3 months leave join new server & repeat but Evony knows most will not do that … so Evony has control over you all unless you are able to bring the game to a halt where everyone stops playing for a month & just bubble every 3 day to be on safe side … no monsters no bf no svs no spending just make it a month long gathering event all across Evony and maybe they will listen infact do this until they do listen simply boycott the game …. This is the case with most things. Whether its investments or gambling, the majority of the revenue has always come from the middle to low spenders. This normally account for upwards of 90-99% of all the income generated. The 'whales' however do get preferential treatment and benefits but a business model cannot be made around them due to the low numbers and high risk as a result
@@Sid_2007 I do investment for a living and I hate to disappoint you but you’re clueless. If a low corner spends $100 you need 100 of them to spend equivalent to what a big spender would. And a low spender will not spend on a regular basis where as whales do so. every time a small doesn’t spend 100 more smalls have to spend to make up for it. That’s why I say mid to upper spenders are more important but again without whales this games does not exist and if you think any otherwise you’re foolish. Same goes in the financial world it’s not small investors that makes stock market crash. It’s the whales pulling their money.
