Mine's getting a de-catted, straight piped ETS extreme turbo back. Sounds a little agricultural at low revs, as you'd expect, but it's fucken deafening above 3000. Spits fire too.

I really like evo x's but my biggest complaint is that they don't sound aggressive. Like at all. I've heard Hondas with more turbo spool, backfire, and deeper sound than these. Which sucks cuz I really want to buy an evo x one day. Guess I'll just have to motor swap it
+Wolf Spritzer Xs don't have the 4g. they have a 4b and also. +SKDK its an Evo, just throw some bolt ons and it will be plenty aggressive. theres a lot on the internet that sound mean. but If your wanting to buy a performance car based on sound then please go buy a subi :)
+SKDK lol ok well what I was saying is you shouldn't buy a car, especially cars like these, based on how they sound. if that's the case then buy a Subaru. But these cars are very mid friendly and can make great power. some bolt ons, some exhaust, open dump and shell purr just fine! I love my X although she's stock atm :)

Man...the more i watch this car the more it beats out a mustang as my summer car lol idk what to get!!...i already have a wrx for the winter but it looks like with the right mods and right tuner the AWD evo spanks most other regular mans affordable performance cars.

The funny thing is that the guys talking shit are not the ones in the competition. Its always the haters talking shit because all they have is shit! I know this is a old post but that blue EVO X sounds beautiful, but he seem to have a shit ton of oil shooting out the exhaust. Other than that it sounds beautiful!
MRs and GSRs will sound the exact same. Everything is the same mechanically except for the transmission. So there shuld be 0 difference in sound between the two
the 2 step is programmed in the ECU on both models. There's a button you hold for the MR, and the GSR you just clutch in, and floor it and it holds a the launch RPM
+raja singhz I love that its carbon, (I can't tell I'm just going off what you're saying) and having a smaller wing equivalent to what it has stock and in carbon is wayyyyy sexier
Honestly, the guy whom they kicked off 1:33-2:08 sounds so much better than the rest of the EVO Xs even the GTR. WHoever you are reply back to me your full exhaust set-up. I couldn't hear him announce your exhaust manifold. I heart AMS DP, TP; Tomei, but i didn't hear what he said on the exhaust manifold. Let me know brother. I want that sound.
whats brings the difference between how those cars rev? the blue evo has a consistent rev but the first 2 evos have those loud bangs when revving.....anybody explain that please???
This Video is way too old to get a reply, but I have a speed circuit wicked edition (like the blue car). Does anyone know how to retain the low tone? I swapped to an ETS top mount turbo lit and now my car is incredibly raspy. Used to sound just like the blue one. I think its the swap from AMS wide mouth downpipe to ETS 3" downpipe.
