Y'all guys are so lucky. It's not the first comment about teachers using Eurovision songs in any ways I see on this channel. I wish our foreign language teachers would use Eurovision songs to teach the language. Maybe I would start speaking earlier 😄
Evridiki is my favourite Cypriot entrant of all time. All three of her performances have been marvellous. This should have made the final without doubt and if the two semi final format had been used in 2007 I believe it would have made the final!!
She kicks ass on the vocals - both strong voice and nailing everything vocal vise. But... that darn but... song is monotonous, doesn't hold up even for 3 minutes. :( And with song as simple as this arrangement could still lift it... unfortunately it doesn't, arrangement is also below average. Just because I appreciate Evridiki and she was great after over decade's absence from ESC I was rooting her to be in the finals. Had she gotten into finals - in a weak ESC-year- a place around 10th would have been enough, I think.
In "Comme ci, comme ça", Evridiki addresses herself to her lover, telling him that she finds it difficult to live with him. She complains that every Monday he finishes work too late to enjoy her company, falling asleep "just as [her] heart wakes up". He also promises that they will see a movie every Tuesday, but is unable to keep this promise. Following these criticisms, she explains that the unexciting routine of their relationship is too much for her and that she is no longer in love with him. As the chorus continues, it becomes apparent that she intends to leave him.
@@jeremyroenick2202 Greece and Cyprus are one people two nations and other countries exchange twelve points and vice versa such as Moldova and Romania which are one people two nations since these two countries have Romanian as their official language and exchange twelve points and vice versa. Also Azerbaijan and Turkey are one people two nations and exchange twelve points and vice versa.
Any Greeks here, remember the day of the semi-final when we voted for Cyprus and all we got was a message that we participated in a contest for a Jaguar? It was totally rigged, the only time Cyprus sent a song worthy of winning until 2018...
This was the fuego long before Eleni Foureira. Another marvelous Cypriot entry was Ivi Adamou with "La La Love". Cyprus has consistently sent great songs.
This song had a big WINNER over it's "head"...One of the most underrated songs in ESC history and biggest injustice of the qualification round. On that year... probably the finest ESContest song. At least in the top 10 positions, by far
Yes, she does. Actually now she is preparing her album with newer versions of her old hits. There will be some duets with ESC entrants of Greece and Cyprus, like Sofia Vossou (Greece 1991 Anixi), Keti Garbi (Greece 1993 - Ellada chora tou fotos), Helena Paparizou (Greece 2005 My number one), Despina Olympiou (Cyprus 2013 An me thimasai), Demy (Greece 2017 This is love) and two singers of the national finals of Greece Tamta (2007 With love), Pegki Zina (2002 Love is a wonderful thing) and many other singers who have nothing to do with ESC.
She is not a French teacher. She is a professional teacher, but she studied in France. She was the first non-french-speaking (non francophone) student de Studio des Varietes de Paris. Do like her pronunciation in french?
Evridiki, one of Eurovision's tragic heroes, who thrice gave her all and still never made the grade. I like the cautionary tone of the lyrics of this song - a love unattended is a love doomed to break.
I remember how this was my favorite number one in the year of 2007 competition and this didn't qualified to the final. I was so mad about it but still after ten years I still love this!
I heard this song at radio when I was little and I didn't know it competed at ESC! It should have qualified! The more I listen this song, the more I like it!
Keep listening in 2018! ❤ What a masterpiece 😍 Amazing live, performance and song 👏👏👏 Sadly it was underrated as f... 😢 Hope to see her again on an Esc stage 🙌
2007 was the year loads of good songs were kicked out whilst lesser ones stayed because of previous years rankings. 2007 was the reason for the new format in 2008 for sure....
My only critique is that it needed more pyro and the LED is moving to slow in the chorus. It needed to be fast paced like her performance and energy, the instrumental bit with the stobes looked very good Other than that, this is one of my favourite songs of 2007 (top3) and one of my favourite Cypriot entries ever!!! Love it❤️🇬🇧
