Spud was the heart of the sequel. The movie was phenomenal. Loved it so much! Looking forward to seeing it on DVD with subtitles, tho. ;)

@@gonewiththedrugs it's common saying usually when smone is criticizing someone else he's actually doing sort of mirror acting; fingering others , but criticizing themselves. You're the living evidence of this assumption. Have a good day loser ;-)

These two have had pretty tough lives. First they battled heroin addiction, and then they fought in Somalia.

I think it is completely faithful to the spirit of the first one. It continues their story, rather than feeling like a "sequel". And visually it is absolutely just as brilliant. The style of the original, and T2, is so completely unique that it has enough legs to be captivating 20 years on. I was riveted and engaged, all over again, and joyfully so.

The first film was essentially a film about Renton, the others were only in it to the extent that they played a part in his story. The second film is probably more about Spud, and Ewen Bremner was superb in it. When you see him talk as himself, you realise what a truly amazing actor he is to bring Spud to life so convincingly.

When i first watched T2 i was dissapointed a bit. But second time i recognized spirit of first Traispotting in T2. Great movies

Hopefully T3 will be made, with more focus on their childhood (mainly how they got to be "junkies"). Loved both movies btw :)

IMO, Ewen Bremner sounds less dorky than in the 2001 film Pearl Harbor.
