Having a few days travel and camping in the Yorkshire Dales I stayed a couple of nights in Dentdale at Ewegales Farm Campsite, next to Ewegales Bridge (for which the campsite is also known) in a place called Cowgill.
The location is withing The Yorkshire Dales National Park, and is fantastic area for motorcycling, cycling and walking, indeed the campsite is on the Dales Way, a well known long distance walking route.
The campsite is a large flat field and is open year round, although possibly weather permitting, and a check with the owners would always be advisable out of season. In season there is no need to pre book and the site is large enough to accommodate.
The facilities are very basic, the nearest village is Dent which is 3.5 miles away by road, and there is a pub within a genuine 20 minutes walk along The Dales Way.
