Not a big fan of General Nair,when he was the DG of Assam Rifles. But I stand firm with him in the present situation.Remember during the early days it was the Indian Army and Assam Rifles who came to the rescue of both the tribes.Anti Assam Rifles narrative was built much later. To my little knowledge good and bad elements are everywhere and it’s not an easy job to know the integrity of each soldier. I have lot of regards for Lt Gen sir my best friend always thoughtful for the innocent highly cultured people of my native land Manipur in many ways . I don’t deny there may be some bad elements , but can’t blame the whole force who had served sentinels of the N.E. I have no words to highly appreciate for their humanitarian services as it’s always commanded by Army officers . Highly appreciate our most respected defence expert sir Maj Md Ali shah who loved the NE specifically the highly cultured people of my native land Manipur. I had been making my best efforts with my little capacity to create history in many fields & still prepared to serve till my last breath if my services asked for . I fully agree with former DGAR on the issue of conflicts between Metie and Kukis. Both parties should come to the table to ease the problems of common people. But somewhat disagree about differences between AR and Army. It's not entirely Govt. duty to provide basic Army facilities to AR but principal duty of boss of AR to project recommendations strongly with Govt to bring AR at par with Army. Boss of AR should not be for name sake only, touring here and there. AR is under Army since it's inception and till now doing duties of Army so it should get its all dues with respectful manner.
