Yeah, that made me question his honesty too. If you are telling the truth about something you do not need to follow it up with “it’s true, I’m not making it up” so many times.
Remember that Brian who is LONG out of contact with tony, like 18 years, thinks he psychically knows Tonys thoughts and intentions. Brian gets up in the face of anyone who is an inconvenient to him - he bagged Mortimers music forever and raked in cash by putting vocals to the popular tunes and then got no results once he wrote his own stuff The punch was a long time coming and Tony is very much non violent and jovial and friendly to a fault to most people. Tony isnt having anyone shot!

Funny thing is, Tony isn't very overweight. He has a full, round face , it's his genetics, when he was in the band he was ridiculously thin from an eating disorder and had not an ounce of fat on him and only a tiny bit of lean muscle. He also isn't a recluse but did have a period from 1998 to about 2002 like that
Been a massive fan of Brian’s and East 17 since 1994 / Brian without doubt had one of the best voices I’ve heard in any group. Amazing singer. Good luck with everything Brian, all the best and don’t give up
Hypothetically, giving Brian the benefit of the doubt and saying he is telling the truth, it happened 30 years ago. There is absolutely nothing to be gained by dredging it all up now in the year 2024. The time to have anything done about it has well and truly gone. Brian can go to the police or his local MP all he likes but they’re just going to tell him what I’m saying, it’s far too late to do anything about it now. Regardless, Brian needs to get his head out of the 90’s and start living in the here and now. He is consumed with anger, aggression and bitterness. For his OWN sake he really needs to stay off line and get on with his life, the same as the other guys are doing. It is kinda sad to see someone who pretty much had it all by the age of 20 to be in such a bad place at the age of 50. I think he needs some sort of psychological/psychiatric intervention.

Right or wrong, there is no way the police would be able to charge Mortimer with SA unless someone who saw it came forward as a witness. Do you really see any of Brian’s former band mates or crew leaping to his defence? What do you think the chances are of a prosecution being brought against Mortimer now, successful or otherwise? I am not saying it’s right, I’m simply pointing out the obvious that there is little to no chance of any legal recourse. Of course survivors of historical abuse should be heard!! That’s where therapy, be it psychiatric or psychological, comes in. If you read my comment properly before you mounted your high horse, trying to twist my words, you’ll see I am not for a second saying victims of SA should never be heard. All I am saying is if Brian thinks he can get Mortimer charged with anything and successfully gain a conviction, he is setting himself up for a fall.
