I have over 10+ years experience throughout my career and have held roles as Head of Finance and as Director of Finance. In this video I discuss why just working hard is overrated and why being likeable is arguably more important to getting promoted.

In other words, if you're an introvert, you have a mountain to climb 😂

I think even as an introvert, if you have a lot of interests/passions, it's still engaging to enthuse about them with other people.

I also noticed this in media. Example is Ed Sheeran, he really is not technically good in guitar and always a meme in a guitar group that I joined, but common people are so hooked with him and his songs. I also read that people with high EQ tend to be more successful than people with high IQ.

I don't know too much about Ed Sheeran, but imo, the person best at appealing to the most people is the most successful. For example, it's not the person that writes the deepest award winning songs that gets the most popular, but rather the person that writes songs that appeals to the most people that gets the most popular.

@@DarylFinance the guy plays a guitar, made the famous song “Thinking out loud,” and my wife is a fan.We even watched her concert in Japan. I agree with you, it’s not the award winning but the people winning a.k.a charismatic who wins the day. Mostly the yellow/influence type of people in the DISC personality.
