This special video is onboard 30 DAF SB200 Commander on the 9 to Highfields, this Commander was Ex Arriva Midlands new to Leicester in September 2006, about the same time when the DB250 Geminis entered service. In 2015, all of Arrivas 2006 Reg Commanders have transferred to Cannock in exchange for Pulsar 2s numbered 3764 - 3811. Then, all vehicles in Cannock and the depot are sold to Chaserider or Select Bus Services based in Stafford. There are only 4 ex Leicester commanders that remain in service.
Originally, 30 is known as 3724 back at Leicester.
This was quite an emotional ride since this is my first ever time I’ve been on a commander from Leicester and growing up with these commanders. I remembered waiting 30+ mins for a commander to show up on the 51 when it was back at Leicester and this was the only time I ever got the FJ06 commanders until now.
And it is very rare for me to go out into different parts of the UK to do these type of videos as I took the train which costed me a lot of money.
