The money has always been there for the current crop of promoters to make these fights happen, they just can’t bare the thought of having to give ground to a rival company in order to make them happen, it’s gotten to the point where it’s become way more important for them to be perceived as the top dog by the public without realising that the public have no interest in their power struggle and would be way more invested in them if they just did their jobs properly.

Great interview, well I figure that from what Teddy has shared here the longer it goes on the stronger Usyk becomes, because to score on the outside over many rounds takes a lot of stamina. for the bigger man. Usyks on the inside his stamina is superior but the Fury is notably Bigger. So it is very hard to predict.

I dont care who you have trained in the past if you DONT pick a winner, then you are NOT rated as a pundit, you are just a member of the public, & your opinion carries NO more weight than anyone else, boxing pundit, ha, ha, dont make me laugh ! !

Ah BUT fury has that Macdermott dodgy decision way back. It really was a disgrace. He lost the fight clearly there’s no disputing it- yet they handed him the win. The judges were PAID OFF. @BottleBri I don't know if Usyk would've gotten up after that body shot from Dubois if the ref started counting instead of calling it low, but it looked legal to me. Maybe he gets up and survives. Maybe he was too hurt to get up. Who knows? I just know that he should've gotten a 10 count instead of 5 minutes. Fury isn't the same guy he was back then either.

It is possible to retain them all as there is an agreement between the sanctioning bodies as to what order the mandatory defences are to take place and the time limit allowed for making each defence. So if a fighter is prepared to make all his mandatory defences as they fall due, he can hold onto all the belts. However, in the case of Fury v Usyk, there is a rematch clause and if the rematch goes ahead, the champion will not to be able to fulfil his WBA mandatory defence, so will be stripped of that belt.

You know what I'd like to see that probably wouldn't happen but could,to see Teddy in Mike's corner during the whole Fight against Fake Paul, would bring back a lot of memories & I bet Mike would really love him for that 😮.

All good comments of Teddy other than "nobody has beaten Fury yet" he forgot the novice Ngannou who gave him a hiding and dropped him as well and made him look like he just got out of a car crash, and the first fight Wilder KO'd Fury, hadn't it been for the referee.

I would enjoy it immensely if Usyk beat Fury. Unfortunately I do not think that he will. I also think that John Fury "needs the vet". The penn kons.

Teddy Atlas should take note that given its past history the IBF will probably strip the winner of Fury-Usyk the first fight for not defending against their number one contender Filip Hrgovic and Hrgovic will fight Anthony Joshua for the vacant IBF title ! For the best interest of boxing their should be an undisputed heavyweight champion for as long as possible but the sanctioning bodies only care about making a profit on sanctioning fees and their own interests !

Pay-Per-View (PPV) killed an entire generation of boxing. Boxing was on regular TV every weekend. Kids saw it… PPV stop kids from watching it. Adults had parties or bars to watch. Kids didn’t. Then M. Tyson was knocking people out in 1-2 rounds. It killed a generation from watching the sport. Corruption of the sport hurt. Finally MMA was on TV & the fans started learning/understand the ground n pound etc. Multiple boxing organizations don’t help. But… I’m right.
