If the person in the video is reading this I want you to know i didn't practice Islam until I lost my mom 😢. I disagreed a lot with her and felt very frustrated most of the times. Probably blamed her for most things that happened to me. When I started praying regularly and learning Quran and Hadith - (especially about the mother being mentioned 3 times then the father once) , I realised I could have EASILY been a much better son if I had practised Islam earlier in life. Islam is true; it helps the individual, it helps the family and it helps the community live peacefully together. It's guidance from Allah. Now I pray I can join my mother in Jannah and be the perfect son she didn't have on earth.

@Mym794
@Mym794 8 месяцев назад
@MABzOne I disagree. In Muslim countries, you don't have identity problems. You know who you are and what is expected from you. You have no contradicting ideologies. You feel at home when you go out wearing a hijab or niqab. There is no question about your loyalty or if you belong to this place. Even teenagers' rebellion is different. In the majority of cases, there is no fear of joining the rainbow community or leaving Islam and becoming something like today's guest. Especially among females. There are many blessings in living in a Muslim country that I didn't appreciate until I began to follow Dawah channels. There are a lot of problems in Muslim countries, but these problems don't threaten people's faith.

There are some mothers that are not good to their children, especially their daughters. They can even get jealous of them. My mom didn't let me wear a hijab at the age of 14 because she was worried about what people would say. My parents are Muslim but not practicing. When I started to practice on my own at the age of 33 my parents didn't like it much. I didn't care. I didn't even live with them. One time my mom said that she can be god and make her own rules. The same morher was very abusive to me and my sisters since I remember. I'm still healing from childhood trauma that both of my parents caused. So brother not every parent is like your parents. There is no oppression and compulsion in Islam. Every person should find islam by their own. Pushing religion onto someone will just make them run away from it.

I believe it’s extremely important for parents to educate their children ‘WHY’ they’re Muslim, why we follow Islam and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), why we pray 5 times a day, why we fast during the month of a Ramadan etc. The sister sounds a lot like me when I was younger where I didn’t know why we’re doing what we’re doing other than being born into a Muslim family, and it almost pulled me away from it until I did my own research and came to the conclusion that Islam is the truth, and there is nothing that could take me away from it. In conclusion, educate your children when they’re young so the foundation in their Iman is unbreakable when their older.

For the few minutes I've listened to this girl, I can imagine that as she admit she became Muslim (practicing) in 2011 since she's 27 now she was then 15 this means that for 15 years she wasn't a Muslim, she was totally free to do whatever she wants and suddenly she had to practice to renounce to all what she could do before that and so on... If her mind is pervert anyway how do you want her to clean and delete everything she was doing and what was by her perceived as OK ???... When you sow a plant, you put a stick next to it so that the plant grows straight ! May Allah guide her and us to the Straight Path

Yup, a lot of people raised Muslims don’t have a strong foundational understanding of what being Muslim is. For many it’s something they were born into, and just follow what their parents taught them. They need to develop their own understanding and connection with the deen. Allah guides many lost born Muslims just as he guides non-Muslims; it happened to me. Having a deep understanding of Islam made it all make sense.

My parents are quite strict in terms of sharia. Especially compulsory worship such as praying or reciting the Quran. I also wasn't allowed to play much with female friends, unless my friends seemed to be diligent in their worship or when there was an important assignment. At first, I felt restricted. Sometimes I cried and wondered, "Why can't I be like my other friends? Why do my parents control me so much?" But one day, I chatted with one of my friends who was quite outgoing and often played with school kids from street gangs. She told me a lot of things about the outside world that were very scary for a girl who spent a lot of time at home. My friend told me that there are many high school students out there who like to get drunk even though they are Muslims, they also like to watch 4no movies, they also don't pray or even fast, they date and don't hesitate to kiss even though they consider themselves Muslims, at this point I was already very shocked. Ya Allah, how lucky I am to be born to parents who really care about my world and the hereafter. Maybe for other people this is excessive, but really, I am very grateful. Of course I still have friends and alhamdulilah we often remind each other of good things. Maybe this is the blessing that Allah gave me after all that bottomless sadness. The text is very long like a novel🤨

Thank you for sharing... Sister I think. Some Parents are extra rough. Devout but supremely rough. Alhamdulillah it's beneficial in the long run but in this current generation it unfortunately doesn't work as well. You gotta be inspirational as a Parent. Not just authoritative. Your kid is a person not an employee. That's my thought on it. Some Parents don't want to be a Role Model. They want to be something dangerously close to a Tyrant.

@@GutzOverFear Yes, you are right. Nowadays, parents need to be more varied in educating their children. Because every child is different. Being educated firmly and harshly does not guarantee that a child will be obedient. The point is, children should not only be taught "Pray!" Parents should also explain why we should pray, who Allah is, why we should worship Allah, and so on from an early age. So that children will understand why they have to do it all and they don't feel like they're being made employees, but rather being led to reach God. After all, this world is only a transitory place.

I wish my mother was a Muslim. She is Catholic and quite devoted. She's always been very strict with me, so I understand how easily that can be misunderstood when you're young or live in an environment that advocates following your whims and desires. My mother often mocks me for being a Muslim to the point that she'll threaten and curse me when she happens to see me coming home and I'm wearing abaya and khimar. So when I read about the lives of the prophets and messengers, and even the sahaba - when they grieve, I grieve with them. It's like your heart being ripped from your chest and then propelled into the sky. Anyone who is going through or has gone through something similar will understand. But ultimately, you give up what you love for the one who loves you - and who loves you more than Allah, Al-Wadud?

Just as I accepted Islam on my own, it's within her right to accept Islam on her own. In the beginning, it was difficult. I often cried in secret. But in that difficulty, Allah made me steadfast and as a mercy, Allah granted me my father's support. I love my mother for Allah's sake, because she brought me up, taught me arithmetic, and how to read and write from an early age. I couldn't abandon her even as she pushes me away. I've seen violence, abuse, and evil in many forms growing up - and so this trial, albeit difficult, is no different.

@BHAWANI1009 The matters of the Day of Judgement are within Allah's knowledge. It's only by Allah's mercy that He decides who shall enter paradise. Calling myself a Muslim doesn't mean I'm suddenly guaranteed paradise - it's merely a testament of faith that Allah is the Creator and my purpose is to worship Him. Many of the sahaba started as great enemies of Islam to becoming among the greatest allies. The Day of Judgement is meant to be a reminder to humble ourselves and not become attached to this world. While my mother and I still live, I will continue to fulfill my duties towards her and I will remain respectful so long as she does not ask me to disobey Allah.

That makes the younger generation stray away from Islam. Educating ouresleves is obligatory. It is our duty. I came to find Islam and became firm in my belief. I studied Islam, clarified my doubts, did not stop looking for answers. What many people who leave religion do is that they give up after one unsatisfactory response. @@kalijasin What does my obedience to Allah have to do with my statement, making me a hypocrite? Irrelevant comment. She said she was Muslim, so she submitted her will to God and accepted him as the only one worthy of worship, that is what a Muslim is. Don't victimise her, it's not like she was never Muslim and her mum was forcing her, that's different. There is no compulsion in religion, of course, but she knows what she's doing and is following her desires and wants validation from someone else it's clear. She's cherry picking. I have nothing but support for her mother, seeing the world through the same lens as I, you'd do anything to save your child from hellfire, even your worst enemies. There are videos online of Imam is complaining about parents calling them and saying my son is going down the wrong path my child is going down the wrong path when the Imam ask one of the household for the last 1617 years he hasn’t been a practising environment is the mother’s fault you shouldn’t feel bad for her they reaffirmed their religion that they already had in 2011 and the mother only started practising in 2019 so her daughter has seen her own mum play with her religion herself

I actually follow a LOT of dawah channels and haven’t seen rude ones yet. Sure there may be some but being rude goes against what they’re calling for. Right? Sometimes the people treat the callers to Islam rudely, arrogantly because in people’s minds muslims are backward and “don’t read philosophy “ and other misunderstandings. So people are rude and they get the same treatment because if you’re nice people think you’re gullible.

Muhammad Ali is knowledgeable, if he resonates with you then so be it, don't follow other channels because it'll create doubts if your Islamic foundation is not as strong. There's nothing wrong with that, i followed him for awhile and he's enough and a good source if your method of learning is interactive and videos. Of course i advice you to read books and go to classes than watch RU-vidrs.

@@EM.K024 My Islamic foundation is Allhamdullilah strong but there is always room for improvement as we humans are flawed so I always seek more knowledge. Those other channels have not deterred me from Islam but as a muslim when I am out in the world, I always think of presenting myself to my best ability as I believe our actions is truly what will draw people in to our belief. Manners is a big part of Islam and there are hadiths about the manners of the prophet (pbuh). So when I watch those channels, it is from a good place that I wish they better themselves as I think their message will come across better if they practice the way of the prophet in their conduct. Otherwise Mashallah many of them are highly knowledgable. I like Mohammed because he has the knowledge with the manners, Mashallah and as a fellow muslim that makes me happy.

@@a_w_bukhari7579 Yes, it goes against what they teach. I don't think they come from a bad place and mashallah many of them have immense knowledge and I learned a lot. But manners (non verbal language) is part of the communication and I wish for them Inshallah to implement the way of the prophet pbuh in their delivery as it is equally important as the message if not more. If you are making dawah, it should be wholesome and not just words right? So even if someone is rude to them, I think they can set boundaries without falling to their level. We are supposed to be the better ones and I don't mean in the way of giving the other cheek. That is why I like Mohammed. He is very firm with his rules on his channel and very straighforward and that speaks confidence to me. His manners alone is half the message.

When allah judged him he told the angels let him enter jannah through my mercy. When he refused and demanded to be entered through his actions allah told the angels to scale his 500 years of prayer against the blessing of seeing. The weight fell down because his prayers were nothing compared to the blessing of being able to see alone. And he asked for forgiveness and was allowed to enter anyway.

This happened to me too. My father, uncle, were all over me to practice, i would only go to mosque because they wanted me to. I started to think all muslims are hostile, un accommodative, and my non muslim friends were more friendly to me and that pushed me towards christianity, i started going to church though i had some reservations about Christianity which didn't resonate logically. But later I moved with a friend of my father who was an imam in a university, because i got admission to same school. I was expecting even a higher level of confrontation but to my surprise my guard was loosen, we only had 20-30 seconds of conversation about why i wanted to leave islam and all he said was "whoever is trying to let you leave is just decieving you, you have a valuable thing but you are not aware, be a good boy" and thats all. This made me think why he is different from my father, i started studying islam myself and alhamdulillah I'm not perfect, but i didnt allow emotions over my logic again. I realise that the approach of parent may be emotional, and i stop to judge islam based on how some muslims behave, i know its a behavioral stuff by some. I had consistent encounter with him for 9 years as a family firend with his children and he never mentioned anything related to islam or convince me. I also think moving with muslim friends can also help seeing their perspective about life

It’s funny how people disagree with some of their country laws but still obey them. But when it comes to Islam, “oh it’s being forced upon me”. There are rules and regulations in Islam, you can’t be doing anything you want.

@@Ezees23 Having a bachelors degree doesn't equal to "a whole a lot of haram." I went both to undergrad and gradschool and Alhamdulillah was surrounded by people who prioritized deen, even the non muslims were respectful and always ensured that nothing compromised my deen. Prayer times were a priority for us all, our non muslim professors would stop the class to give us a break to break out fast or to step away to pray the salah. Most students had jobs, and were involved in volunteer work and we had parents who were actively involved in the school as they taught at the University. I personally was on campus alone and didn't have parents with me, but I knew Allah is watching so I did my best to keep myself busy and not even get close to anything that could lead to haram. So no, it wasn't haram, it's what you make of it. Your parents can only do so much but once you grow up, you will have to speak for yourself and take accountability. Sheltering your child won't help them develop a relationship with Allah but seeking knowledge and encouraging them to be part of that can help. I understand this may not be the case everywhere in the west but we need to be careful to not generalize.

There are cases where they're not scared of it because they don't believe it exists. If the caller looks at it objectively, and she looks at it from her mother's position generally and objectively, so for example, if the caller believes in God and heaven and hell and that it's the truth, the reality, and she has a daughter and her daughter is uninterested in obeying God and by extension, the afterlife, then would she be like, "it's alright, she can go to hell if she really wants to." Would that be love? No, that means you either don't care about your child or you don't actually believe in your religion.

I think what she mentioned is why many Muslim kids today don’t follow Islam. What is the solution , I don’t know. It’s several issues:1) parents teaching 2) personal desire 3) convinced islam is true . I think 2 and 3 could be the biggest issues. 3 is the one that needs to be addressed but then if they just don’t care then there isn’t much parents can do . That’s why having good Muslim friends is important.
@TheLion377
@TheLion377 8 месяцев назад
I think you're downplaying the role of parents. Their job is not just to give birth and go back to their jobs. Muslim friends are good, but they aren't a substitute for parents. Parents are responsible for teaching their kids Islam properly.
@Foundonetruth
@Foundonetruth 8 месяцев назад
@@TheLion377 the parents role is important however friends are more influential. You may disagree but I grew up in the USA so I know how parents only play a small role(still important) . 90% of my Muslim friends used to smoke weed/had relationships, a lot drank, and their parents are good religious people.

@@TheLion377you are influenced by the company you keep, like it or not. Parents are obviously there, but we don't choose our parents - we do choose our friends. I was also born in a Muslim family Alhamdulillah! But I won't lie that I had to find the love of Allah (S. W. Yes that is why Allah(SWT) tells us not to be like the other People of The Book. Jdism - rejecting love, mercy, connection to God but focussed on following rules strictly Chrstianity - rejecting following rules but only focus on love,mercy of God There is a balance and Islam is meant to be balanced and fair upon the believers.
