I grew up a city kid, who thought the same way the media does. Now I live in a town of about 10k, mostly farmers. I will tell you this; I have learned that you guys, are some of the hardest working mofo's on the planet! Much respect!!!
@Shawn Francis The finances needed to run a farm are ridiculous. The man is losing tons giving away a whole crop. And either way, he could have made more but choose to lead a simple life helping people. Him being in the NFL doesnt take away from that
Eric ovic Nah, but like...he made enough money that the next step to higher happiness was a more conscious and, what we see as “down to Earth” (pun intended), more humble decision of becoming a farmer.
He understood That a long life is more important than shirt life cause being a pro NFL player can cause physical harm n maybe death & money it is a part of having a happy life💯✌
It's not the wrong word. Unless its inappropriate to use it with brain rather than mental. Edit: critical faculties, mental faculties, brain faculties... Edit 2: facilities is technically correct, but adding the word brain is redundant. Anyways, it's not important
I'd say it is the opposite. He has witnessed fame first hand and decided it wasn't the life he wanted. If he wasn't famous, he might have never realized his passion.
@@Justin-gl5kh Nah I think he always saw the NFL as a means to an end. He probably planned using his money for this or at least something similar from the very beginning.
@@willy102073 how am i racist? What is racist? A feeling of racial superiority? Well i feel east asians have higher group iq and are more respectful than whites. I truly wish all peoples the best in their own lands. I wish no harm on any man due to race or religion. I would save a black mans life without hesitation. Therefore i am not racist. You liberals are so quick to throw out the racist card. What i said has plenty of truth behind it. Blacks are not known to be farmers or having strong agricultural ability. Just look at africa, all the farmers there are white.
I get my food out in the wilderness. I get down with my nose to the ground and pick up animal scents. Then I slather my body in mud, leaves, and human feces and track that animal for days on end. After that I creep up on it slowly, and without a sound I grab it by the head and snap its neck. The meat is delicious, I have no need for your farms, I'm doing just fine out here by myself.
1,000 acres? He invested in his family trust me. Even if he doesn’t get to see it as the generations pass one day his land will be his best investment for his future family.
What? Farmers a brilliant agricultural scientist. When he said plain'ole farmers he was just using a general idea of what people think a farmer should be ,but in reality we know you have to be hardworking and very brilliant to be a farmer. I never thought once that farmers are stupid just because he said plain'ole farmer.
A truly inspiring story. How can you not respect a guy who values a hard days work and in the end gives a chunk of it to Charity? Great man Jason Brown is.
I would love to farm as a full time job, the pure satisfaction of seeing your hard work go to thousands of people to enjoy and getting paid to do so is amazing
you suck except when the hard work doesn’t pay off..... I’m a veggie farmer and something always gets you. If it isn’t the weather it’s the market and if it isn’t the market it’s middle men and everyone along the way all the way up to the grocery stores who rip farmers off. Just the past year I was robbed over 20k
Ó Slattarra I respect you so much I personally am but its such a good thing to see someone the does not believe in him not say a bunch of shit like fuck you Christians and all that extra shit
Exactly. Farming is a job that teaches people how to be self-sufficient so they'll try to paint this guy in a negative light like saying he gave up millions to be a farmer.
It's real sad to see them look down on farming. Some people actually have a genuine interest in this line of work and I don't see anything wrong with that.
I hate how that man interviewing him tried to almost make fun of him. He is an awesome guy. He knows what is important in life and it's not money. Sure he made alot in the NFL. The thing is now he is basically paying his tithe to humanity. I'm sure there is a special place in heaven for a man like him. He makes my heart feel warm my hats off to him.
Dude, if he's happy and this is giving him a reason to get up in the morning, who cares if it's for God or a five figure paycheck? I would kill to have his peace of mind in my life. Live it up!
I'm an atheist and I would volunteer to harvest at his farm any day of the week. Doing good by others has nothing to do with religion. That's first class humanity right there. When you find it, cherish it because that shit is rare.
Here in serbia you can buy full villages for 100€, the state is even giving away farming land with houses to young people for free.. its really not about the money, everyone can do it if they want to
When will some people realize money isn’t everything in life, yeah you need it to live but you don’t need a lot of it. This man found a different passion and he loves what he does, that means more in the long run and he’s helping the needy.
This is a wonderful story that makes me so happy. It's always refreshing to see that not everyone is about money and greed. Some people actually put their money, time, and effort into bettering the world around them. Jason Brown does more good for the common person than most of the world's richest people.
Seen this man at a local church give his testimony and even preach a short sermon and he's such a genuine and godly man. He gave up a life of fortune and fame to give to people who are less fortunate. God truly changed his way of thinking and living. Say what you want about him but he will get his blessings in the end.
Nothing but respect for this man, he took a once in a life time opportunity to be in the NFL only to get his hands dirty and literally do honest work and give back to his community. This man really deserves to be recognized more than any main stream stuck up NFL player, he is the real MVP.
I think it\s more the fact the he was an NFL player and it looks like he was going down in income but hearing his story I already know God will bless him even more than the NFL could have ever done
