Henry Ruggs, a former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver, was sentenced Wednesday morning for a fiery crash that claimed the life of a young woman and her dog and ended his career with the NFL team. www.8newsnow.com/news/local-n...
Nevada went after people with old sex allegations that didn’t require registering as dangerous offenders but Nevada paints them like dangerous predators and punished a second time which is illegal. Now these thugs drink and drive or drive while high and kill people and get no real justice! Please start throwing out these unconstitutional laws and start threatening people fairly. With real justice and no biased. This girl burned alive do to his reckless actions, why are people not asking questions? Why do they allow this state to get away with murder? He knew what could happen before getting in his corvette.
His shallow apology was obviously written by his attorney, he doesn’t seem like he actually cares that he murdered a woman and her dog by burning them alive as they were screaming. I happened to drive by the crash shortly after it happened that night and it was quite upsetting to see the aftermath of the murder. He only cares about getting back to playing football
Per the Las Vegas Review-Journal "There was a chance the DUI charge against Ruggs was going to be dismissed if prosecutors had not reached a plea deal, the Clark County district attorney’s office said in a statement released in May. The dispute stemmed from the search warrant in the case that allowed Las Vegas police to draw Ruggs’ blood at a hospital following the crash. Defense attorneys have tried to exclude the results of Ruggs’ blood alcohol test from evidence, arguing that police did not have probable cause to ask a judge to sign the warrant? " So basically they had to offer this deal or risk him not being charged at all. 🙄 Why didn't this video address this?
I thought they had him on camera drinking at a bar/restaurant prior to the crash??? Would that not be reason enough for a probable cause warrant request?
so you wish to see him not be rich and lead a terrible life afterwards? is that what justice is? not rehabilitation or counseling? says more about you than ruggs.
@@shiftyFlackocry about it he deserves prison for life you take someone’s life away you deserve to have yours taken away ZERO REMORSE FOR PPL WHO DRINK AND DRIVE
He should have got a mandatory 15 years for killing that lady and her dog! At the very least. He’ll serve 3 years and be playing in the NFL again. Our justice system is a disgrace. He was going 160 mph while drunk. He didn’t care who he killed. The lady and dog were burned to death. These judges are sickening. Mark my words this won’t be the last time he kills somebody. It’s insane that families have to worry that these people will be behind the wheel of a deadly weapon ever again when they get out of prison. Someone that kills someone should never be allowed to drive again in their life. The justice system is built for rich people to buy their freedom
A THUG with MONEY??? Man stfu. You nothing about this guy. Black man in braids… So hes a THUG??? What about them RIVERPORT 🤡🤡🤡🤡 in MONTGOMERY… THOSE ARE YOUR REAL THUGS
A mistake doesn’t make you a thug, it was a very very bad decision. We all agree the sentence was light. He should be punished for his actions, but intent matters, stupid decision, but he wasn’t intentionally trying to kill somebody, he was reckless,
Literally had his jersey in my online shopping cart and decided to wait until next day. That morning it was announced he killed someone...just terrible, he was my favorite player
Simple but 1st, if you don't have interest on getting an education in criminal law and procedure, at least read a book to gain understanding on the sentencing stage of criminal law I.e.what 3 to 10 years means in lamen terms
@@ejicon3099 And i apologize if the way i responded was kind of offensive or rude because it could've been interpreted as me being kind of arrogant. In which i can understand that perception and i apologize
The guy at Charlottesville, James Fields, was sentenced to 419 years for hitting and killing a woman while driving at 23-28 mph. Ruggs was driving 156 mph when he killed his victim and her dog. I don't know if Fields did what he did deliberately, the trial seemed to be perfunctory and his distasteful political views made a fair trail in Charlottesville impossible. Then he was charged federally and received another life sentence. In the federal case, he was forced to plead guilty to avoid the death penalty. Feds have a 98% conviction rate- in this case the defendant had a 100% chance of being convicted due to the climate of politicized mass hysteria.
Ok so listen man, please don't mislead, deceive or write white lies on RU-vid comment. Those are two ENTIRELY different cases. ENTIRELY James Field was a while nationalist. He "deliberately" plowed into a crowd of anti-racism protesters. Deliberately. He injured dozens along the one he killed. Don't write foolish stuff like "i don't know if he did it deliberately"? Dude are you kidding me? Seriously brother, stop. The case got nationwide attention "and" you can read the entire court case for advance understanding on the investigation. Two...different...cases Henry was a "DUI" case. Yes, he was driving reckless and drunk but it was an accident. Yes, he got off easy with 3 years but DUI cases that result in death mostly never get imposed with high level years
When YOu have money you get 3-9 years for killing an innocent young lady and her pet... Had this been just a regular person, life in prison would have been justified... The defense attorney Got PAID BIG TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Probably dumbest comment here. "When you have money you get 3-9 years for killing an innocent person and her pet"? He didn't "kill them" fool. He got into a "car accident". Please educate yourself. And no, a regular person wouldnt of gotten a justifiable life in prison for a "car accident" that unfortunately cause ones death. Before you troll back, which you will, please get a degree in law or justice administration or read a book or at least gain some experience in the legal business. And please don't have children until you get your heart, spirit and mind together
@@macabree5856 Yours is the dumbest comment ever. You don't think driving 156 mph in a densely populated area is highly dangerous and could easily result in one or more deaths?
@@drlobomalo Bro c'mon. You clearly misread my comment. Seriously. I never wrote or said driving 156 mph isn't dangerous. That's pure idiotic. OF COURSE that is dangerous. Foolish. Irresponsible. Duh. Plus coupled with the fact that he was intoxicated? That's even worse. You see? You misread what i wrote so don't write foolishness. What i wrote (because somehow my original was deleted by the owner or reported idk) was the original guy wrote "had this been just a regular person, life in prison would have been justified". What that guy wrote is not true and cold hearted. So "LIFE IN PRISON" would be a justifiable punishment for someone that got into a DUI car accident that resulted in death? C'mon that excessive. For capital murder? YES. For multiple felonious murder and rape? YES. For 1st degree murder especially a multiple time offender? YES. Not someone who have no criminal history and unfortunately got into a reckless car accident. C'mon man. Let's have a heart here And btw, i apologize if i offended you or said anything derogatory toward you. I'm not that kind of person in real life.
Lucky he only got 3 to 10. He a be out in 3 to 5 years top. Keep ya head up bruh. Let's just hope he is serious about his apology and takes this time to truly heal and be a better person.
