[Ex-Salafi] Yasir Qadhi talks about Salafies & Wahabies 

Our youths should really watch this, this trend really has to stop.

He still a salafi at the end of the day, just disagreeing with certain issues with salafi but good to see he has an open mind.

As-Salamu Alaikum, I believe Sheikh Yasir is speaking more about the "sect" rather than speaking against following the way of the salaf. You also have to understand this brother is under a huge amount of pressure in the US as the FBI has monitered him and his institute.

Definitely agree with the hostility. A very aggressive and narrow minded group of people. They think they are right and everyone is wrong because they follow the Salaf. All Ahle Sunnah follow the Salaf. They always do more talking then practice. They think using words like Akhi and having "Abu" in their name makes them a better Muslim. While they flirt with girls and do all sorts of wrong actions.

Mashaallah! Shaykh Yasir was always my favorite shaykh. It's good to see him more open minded on these issues.

I was actually waiting on him to admit to the reality of this tradition and as intellectual he is it hard to believe he was a 'So-called Salafi"... he is finally in the boat of real scholars Alhamdullilah!

I always considered Sh. Yasir Qadhi to be very intelligent, and I was surprised that he was Salafi.
