Since its entry into service at Puffing Billy in December 2019, Beyer Garratt Locomotive NGG/16 129 has operated to the terminus of Gembrook many times, but only a handful of times on the regular Gembrook Service, normally a roster for NA class locomotives.
762 Media was finally able to cover the 70 ton locomotive strutting its stuff on Sunday June 11th 2023, when the engine was rostered on for the Gembrook service over the Kings Birthday Long Weekend.
Along with seeing it at a number of scenic locations we'll also cover the shunting operations, something not normally filmed by Railfans.
This 30 minute long video covers a regular service to Gembrook and return in full, but with much bigger and louder motive power
Enjoy!
