They need to rework Kenly College. It's already on the server and no one plays it. It serves no purpose at the moment, even for new players that's are just coming in that they are trying to draw.
@@freshcity they could always redo it as an invaded mission similar to Camp White Oak and the Zoo . That way the original intent could stay but then it could be used for other things as well. Also it needs to be a better reason for us not to be able to have access to it always, like the gas levels are too high and it takes 3 weeks for it to dissipate or something. At this point we should be able to go there whenever we want.

As a single source, would not be much. But adding this one on top of what else is coming out is very worrying and may well explain why Division 2 is finding it difficult to push ahead any faster - which is a shame, because of all Ubisofts current and recent titles, it is one of the strongest - although I do quite like Anno as well, but that is a very different beast 🙂 Right now, Ubisoft is having a LOT of trouble releasing new games that are up to scratch - Far Cry 5 and 6 were well down, Skull and Bones is bland, Avatar and Outlaws are both, at best, meh. To their credit, the company does realise not all is well, so fingers crossed they get things better for Division 3! 🙂
Ubisoft stomped on their consumers in order to cater to their shareholders. Their leadership has failed, even on that front. I have zero sympathy for them. They have lost investor confidence and , more importantly, consumer confidence. We have stopped allowing ourselves to be taken advantage of by this unscrupulous, avaricious, company being run by blind, deaf leadership.
My understanding of the Assassin's Creed situation is that the black character did exist but he was not a samurai but a retainer so he is being used a-historically. Also, there is a long history of animosity between Japan and China and there are several areas where the game uses Chinese architecture, flags and symbology instead of Japanese and they find this extremely insulting. Ubisoft has been fighting back by just saying that the backlash around the black character is racist based instead of historically based and claim that their research shows he was a real samurai when many Japanese history sources clearly show he was not. This is just another example of Ubisoft's insensitivity to any thought that doesn't match that of the corporations.

Imagine slaughtering a golden goose IP such as Star Wars man. Everybody’s been waiting on a Japanese Assassin’s Creed and they butcher that. They go after consumer stating they are uneducated, when it is they themselves who’re pushing false narrative based on unfounded sources. Like really the hip hop jingle after you kill with Yasuke? I’m not saying the consumer is always right but they do get they final say in together your product survives. When you work against them in such a way you are destined to obliterate any IP you are pursuing which is a mind boggling waste of resources. On a good note it is helpful to to see a company fail so that future companies can navigate more appropriately. If they’re a publicly traded company why would they work against the public when they rely on their money? Like biting the hand that feeds and playing victim when it no longer feeds.
The deal with Assasins Creed was that one he was a fictional character made up by a white writer historian who admitted he made it up then co-signed it as an Historian……Next issue was yes they made the Black character gay ….they just go out of the way to shove the gay down our throats and we just want to play good games 😮 sad
Yasuke was actually a real black dude who happened to be in Japan for few years back then, its just that the white historian guy glorified my dude and made him a samurai of some sort then lied about his fantasy being real. As someone who rarely buys ingame stuff I've spent the most money on Division 2 with the cosmetics. I think you hit the nail on the head as we've allowed Ubisoft to string us along with this game. So many promises and "lesson learned" thru my almost 2k hours of playing this game. This community has been the most loyal, patient, and it is frustrating that we've been taken for granted. Wish Ubisoft would sell the franchise to a company that understood what they have.

Why assume they are spending money, or any big money. A new game would be spending money to make for sure, but this old game is already done, in more ways than one, and at this point they just throw a few pennies at it to make it seem like something big is going on when it's not, lol.

All self-inflicted wounds, they deserve to go under, and that is what I am hoping for. Yesterday, or two days ago, FC 25 came out, and time became weird, I was watching a live from one of the most beloved players in the community, GCRock, and because he is now a Ubisoft "partner" the comments became uncontrollably toxic to the point he had to ban several dozen people. This guy has done more for the community than anybody else. The fact that they are broke does not keep them from continuing to slowly go Woke, and worse, not worse, you get the gist, from nerfing the most loved weapons and gear in the game. Why? Why would a failing company decide to anger the player base they still have? Almost all veteran players, the ones that stick around and spend money, hate the announced changes coming with season 2. Do they listen to anybody? No! Aside from that, we have games being closed: "The Crew" because their successors were so bad nobody wanted to buy them, so they closed all servers for the beloved "The Crew" as a sort of punishment to the community for not buying into the horrendous "Crew 2". At the same time, they launched another "Crew" to try to fix a game nobody wanted. This is Ubisoft, they will go out of their way to alienate their customers. Good riddance, Cheers.
Selling Ubisoft will not fix the fundamental problems with their operation, or the triple-A gaming industry as a whole. The fundamental problem with the video game industry is that the industry is hemhorraging hundreds of millions of dollars to produce *SHIT GAMES*. The overbloated budget, insipid design, and minimum viable product launches are all part of the same problem: The project is too big, and needs to make too much money, so the publisher intervenes to try and "help" make it "more appealing", which, in practice, actually produces on more work for the developers, which drives up costs more, while at the same time creating a product that, instead of one tight concept executed well, winds up being a grab-bag of half-baked mechanics awkwardly bolted together. Then, once the project burns through more money, the publisher despairs of ever making any of it back, and simply starts ordering the developers to start closing bugs, and cutting features and content, to just "ship it". The result: Insipid, muddled, half-assed buggy games with very pretty screenshots. The fix is for game studios to completely invert their process: Start small. Start simple, start cheap, and make a game which can afford not to sell to every human on the planet. That's how Fromsoft manages to excel: their games are expertly crafted to appeal to a specific audience. The same with Larian. And you're not going to find a lot of carryover from Baldur's Gate 3 and Elden Ring, and guess what? You don't need to, if you can make the game on a budget.

The solution to "It takes space on the server" is simple: Design your game for small-M mutliplayer. There is *ZERO VIRTUE* to having random unknown players on your world map. None. There is no technological reason why these looter-shooter titles can't be done in a peer-to-peer fashion. None. And the way I know it is, that's how Rockstar games work. That's how Call of Duty works.

Even though it's kinda sad to see what happened with ubisoft, since they really did made a good games and such (old AC, far cry, tom clancy, wd1 etc). The OG's who was actually care about their games and so on, are long gone already. And the new, mOdErN ubi💩 is just about wanting your money and pushing their garbage agenda. So yeah. Well deserved. I just hope that we will still have the access to the all old games.
You have no idea of what you’re saying neither does Ryberg. Restrictions on foreign ownership only apply to strategic interests like military or telecommunications not games. Ubisoft is already majorly owned by non French since the founding family only has 15% and Tencent alone another 10%. There will be pressure for Guillemot to step down and most likely Tencent will take over. So Division 3 will probably happen as P2W

All you got to do is look at the Chinese version of the game, what they have managed in a year is several times what our new dev team have managed in 2 years since they took over. Our game has a CPU issue resulting in ~50% less FPS since TU18, the Chinese game runs as it should. They get extra conflict maps, another incursion and a 32 player Dark Zone. What do we get? A scrapped spec re-work, scrapped seasonal characters, no Dark Zone improvements, no new maps or game areas, no new actual content. We get some tweaked missions and new gear. Only NOW are we getting a game wide balance patch which will make things better, it takes too long for anything to happen. Persistent cheaters on the same accounts dont get banned
Also look at the cosmetics, i mean... they arent complete ass like XDefiant, but look at The Finals, nothing comes close to its cosmetics, NOTHING! If they can get an art team and start making proper cosmetics worth shelling out money for they can raise funds to invest back into the game to keep the machine going.

It’s nice to see Morton spill the he beans but I already knew this. I knew I’d have to pay for new content and I’m okay with that. The problem I have with the game is since Countdown and legendary missions is they’ve given us two game modes. Decent a rogue like game mode NO ONE ASKED FOR and a non replayable incursion. So we are left with gear and weapons and what did they give us? Absolute trash for a years’s worth of content. In a game where good loot drops are very rare they are just saturating it with more trash to deconstruct. I reached my patience limit when the devs dropped an exotic that gives me weapon handling while blind firing I said “I’m out.”

To be honest, I'm glad. The game is dead and boring and gone. There are tons of pvp cheaters now, and unless you are new to the game, I just can't fathom how anyone can still enjoy this game after 6 years of no pvp content. To run these missions and raids over and over forever like some people do is just weird

I saw several of your videos now about this topic. You talk a lot 😊 but you are totally right. I’m a Division Oldtimer and love this game. In short. Ubisoft lost contact with customers and pay’s their price for it now.
I am more upset about Division 1 servers and global events. Seems like everything is shutting down. Division 1 in my opinion was a masterpiece. And they completely messed it up with division 2.
I want my money back. Been on this hame since 2019 and no changes same storyline, same missions. And the crafting station is bogus, exotics are the same. REFUND ME NOW.

Based on what i see and know... I seriously doubt we will see D3...if so it will be much farther away than we would know. ID touched on a lot of great things. Understand... it's extremely costly to rent servers...100k player is about 25 servers, and the rough estimate is 30k a month. Then there are additional fees for things security, anti cheat programs etc...not to mention maintenance cost. Plus, the staff to make and service the game. See, the reason we haven't seen new content is money. They used the money D2 brings in and investors money to gamble on new projects. Things have just about hit rock bottom. The best chance we have is if the company is sold and whoever buys it sees the potential in Division. Other than that... doesn't look good.

It seems to me that AAA developers feel like they don't have to make an effort when making games. They produce such rubbish and the consumers are catching on, they are voting with their wallets. People will not put up with crap and they will buy indie games. Indie games are made with care and attention. My advice, ubisoft need to go back to basics. Make an effort when making a game, look at what consumers want rather than the rubbish youre realising.
New content takes up a lot of server resources? Then they didn’t design their platform to allow for easy efficient addition of new content. Look at Warframe and how much content it has. It’s ludicrous how much content it has. And it’s wildly successful over 11+ years. Warframe and others prove it can be done, and well, with older games. They have server resource problems due to their own poor architecture choices. Content is king. Even RU-vidrs know this.
I think the old Ubisoft is long gone. We are stuck with new devs that are pushing woke dei agenda into games that don’t need it. AC shadow should have been an easy banger of a game but they effed it up hard. The reason why Ubisoft is doing so badly is because of their stocks and their investors are pissed. If I were them, I would be pissed too. Plus as you said, the recent controversy hasn’t helped either sure you have your die hard loyal shills who buy on a yearly basis, but there’s only so many of those plus if you piss off half of your customers, well that’s not going to get you. Any sales now is it? And growing up, I was always taught. The customer is the king and you have to please him no matter if he is a dick or an asshole because that’s how business works you can’t insult a guy who pays you. No news here. Most G20 countries havr laws to regulate the selling of major/critical businesses. And for new maps, the design costs in time and work are both ressources that team doesnt have. Forget server space, for business at that size, that aint the first deterrant, time and ressources are.
The problem that I see is instead of adding more maps to something that works, they're devoting their resources to stupid themes like Star wars for kiddy mentalities. Develop more maps and more grown ups who actually pay for the seasons would gladly make the purchase.

I'm no hater, but glad i did not come back since I got banned from the first ban wave of using the glitch to make guns op for the PVE contents only... I did not use any 3rd party cheat or even enter the DZ, but only used for fun..... since that happen i lose all my motivation to continue playing or buying anymore Ubisoft games. Don't wanna lose all my library when they ban my account.....
Yeah, selling to a foreign country is a bad idea for Ubisoft and France. Doing stuff like this has been devastating to the United States. Ubisoft has terrible leadership. They make games that no one asked for nor wanted. This latest Assassin’s Creed is the latest example. They could have saved money on this game and Star Wars Outlaws and bought server space.
As long as they don't sell the parent company most of their studios are based overseas, The division by Swedish Massive and far cry in Canada, they could sell foreign assets off easily
TD2 content updates like Summit and Descent were fun, but still feel like an asset flip. Nothing really new in there, just what we already have rearranged into a new form with some new supporting systems. Compare that to the content updates we got in TD1. Survival was fun as hell, that could have worked as a standalone game in its own right. Other great updates like Last Stand, Underground etc. The biggest problem as I see it is TD2 on launch presented a number of regressions to comparable systems they'd refined through the lifespan of TD1. This tanked the player retention out the gate; why play a game that's worse than something I was already playing? It forced a lot of seasoned players back to TD1 until TD2 Warlords dropped. You don't have to look far for further examples... We only recently got a reasonable rework to enhancement and modifications UI/UX - why did that take over four years? Why was/is the system so punitive to more casual players? It creates an additional barrier for entry for new players. Not to mention performance issues and bugs that have been present for years. Typically with this sort of business model you'd expect some sort of subscription or microtransaction elements, but these are pretty light in TD2 - so how is it profitable for Ubisoft? And the data states this is now one of their strongest IPs? This indicates a general lack of understanding of their own product and suggests incompetence at the leadership level. I love this franchise and I've stuck with it over the years, but I see why other people lose patience with it. TD1 had horrible balancing and gameplay issues for the first six months but after 2 or 3 years had blossomed into a great game with an awesome community. Then TD2 launched, and repeated a lot of the same mistakes; seemingly oblivious to the years of learning, knowledge and player feedback from TD1. TD2 is objectively the superior product in many ways, but at over 5 years old it should be. When this franchise dies I will be sad, but it won't be a surprise.

If Ubisoft wants to increase profit, they need to ditch their FOMO model. It's one thing to play an event or buy a season pass and get certain cosmetic items for free. But what currently happens if you don't play in the window it was active? You might see it in the store one day or get a shot at if if they rerun seasons (which only happened in the first place because they weren't sure if they were going to continue. I switched platforms recently and there are so many outfits, weapon skins, arm patches, and gear dyes I would gladly buy if they were available at all times or even rotating through the store.

If they need server space to give us a new playable area, I'm fine with them removing Kinley College and The Summit. Nobody plays Kinley and The Summit is ok but I wouldn't really miss it
