This is what happens when you get a horde of casuals becoming groupies of a fighter that is being pushed as the next big marketable star (which there hasn’t been in the light heavyweight division in a long time) combined with two commentators completely misleading the viewer 99% of a fight. Outrage and confusion. Beterbiev won 9-3 or 8-4. Rewatch it without sound. Bivol was praised for blocked shots while Beterbiev wasn’t. Beterbiev’s clean shots were totally underplayed or ignored while Bivol was lauded for throwing fully blocked combinations (ex. Osuna saying “a nice 1-2 from Bivol there” regarding a light feeler combo thrown into Beterbiev’s gloves). Bivol’s ’right hand success’ was discussed following a round that Beterbiev hurt Bivol with a jab (round 5, about 36 seconds left) and threw him around like a rag doll, a clear big win round for him. All that was ignored in favor of Bivol’s supposed right hand success lol. And the compubox was laughably inaccurate. I’m sorry you casuals listened to Bradley and Osuna instead of using your own eyes. Oh wait…you don’t even really know the sport let alone the scoring system. You should’ve listened to the one great point Bradley made when he said “we have no idea how the judges are scoring this.” Beterbiev won 9-3 or 8-4. Cry about it if you want, but you’re dead wrong.

He did execute a beautiful game plan but you have to BEAT the multi belt champ convincingly. Bivol let that fight slip away in those last two rounds. It was bad enough from a judging perspective he wasn't dictating the pace. We know some judges favor the aggressor.
