the angles for s11 and s22 are 0, so we don't bother them. Now, when we multiply s12 and s22, the positive +45 and -45 angles sums up zero. why should we add those angles? because , convert them into exponential form and when we multiply two powers with same bases , we should add the powers to get the result. Thank you for the videos. I wonder why you don’t consider the phase values (angles) of the scattering parameters in any of the calculations? Is it because at the end you only need the modulus of Tau (reflection coefficient) ?
