Skirmish is easy with decent hirelings and the player, just distract at least two enemies and all-out defend then they'll eventually wrap it up for you.
Just bought the game about a week ago after eyeballing it periodically for a year (originally thinking to wait bit more for the full release instead), and in the first couple of days... Every flimsy candle holder holding zombie managed to waste my dude, which always frantically trying (and mostly failed) to hit something with that darn piece of plank.... Gave up on the story mode, Test playing the arena mode and got smacked silly until I figured which weapon I would be more suitable with, managed to reach adept level, then... revisited the dungeon again, and this time... I can bonk through those darn zombies and currently on level 7 dungeon. Yay!
ok my problem is the extremely crappy hud that doesn't tell me s***... Like i put a weapon on my character and next thing i know i have nothing when in a fight. This is just one example.
if they are brand new you can just have your manager fight pilgrimage battles til master and keep doing them til you get master gear then get a doctor to heal your character you can do duels etc and your character wont die to most weapons just get 3/4ths injured to just one weapon thats a pain to deal with and its how i play safe as at master i think ive lost 1 character in those battles out of like 300 or so battles so its alot safer than starter things also early on getting pawns will slow your income as if they get injured it can take a couple weeks to recover or loose them outright plus they will loose fights 60 percent of the time meaning about 70 percent of your income that you get just goes into feeding the grinder for basic weapons etc to replace them its better to get pawns when you can afford to have a trainer and good gear otherwise its a waste of time
Ah, are your recruits and hirelings master ranked? Yeah it's kind of weird that you have to be a master to even join inept tier matches tournaments but that's just how it goes in this game
Great guide and I love how you credit the people's video so easily. I don't like how for example insta accounts will put their own @ first and then credit the author 15 lines below all their sponsored links
I have like 1000 hours in Exanima of the years. Coming back to it stills proves difficult for the movement alone. Usually takes 2 or 3 fights for it to click again after a break.
Ikr? I genuinely wonder why the devs use tank controls, when You're using a tank. But you can't spin your torso independent of your legs, like a tank turret spinning 360 degrees on a chassis. If it didn't have this control scheme this game would be far more noob friendly
Bro thank you for letting me know I can do adept fights with aspirant gear. Way more fun and way more profitable. It feels like I'm actually making a decent bit of money now. Pretty solid video
"hire" and "recruit" are 2 different things. When you "hire" fighters those are AI controlled, they're for when you do matches like skirmish or doubles and they fight alongside you. Recruits are characters you can control
i played this game before the recent set of updates and i was doing quite well ... i had all my fighters at master level, got all the best armor and weapons, and could pretty much win every match. Now the AI difficulty is a lot harder at the higher levels like expert and master, i'm totally getting my ass kicked. I guess the same old tricks don't work anymore
Fights are easy till everyone has the security skill preventing me from stopping their second swing remise making it a matter of luck where the hit lands.
in an event or match that requieres 2-3 figthers, how do i select more than one??? i tried every multi-selection method i know of and it just wont let me, is there a keybind or smth? please help :( great vid btw
we dont have online mode but I wish this had an online betting mode muahhahaha I love watching NPC's smash eachothers heads in. I wish there was more of this game, more in every way. It has perfect bones and needs an epic Arena/King mode. I can see this IP with a separate release focusing purely on arena. If they could figure out the physics and online multiplayer this game would be the only thing I would play. A king a castle a city a tournament with physics based joust I mean cmon man lets go brandon!!!! I'm about to download Unity
I came looking for instructions on how to attain and or apply gear in the arena. I think i purchased items from the shop but i don't know where they went. The management screen won't let me change any gear. What's the deal.
@@carlstirlingschannel i sorry your time ,,years Exanima updates a slow burner dude. That's why i on mod Hellmode, content is way more fun... its still get weekly updates from the devs though. Which is a lot more than most game devs do :)
It annoys me that your own recruits can't be used in tournaments. I assembled a really cool squad and leveled them up only to find that I can't access end game content. I can't even hire further fighters because I'm out of space for staff.
@@carlstirlingschannel Yes, they are! Sorry, I should have been more accurate with my wording. I currently have 3 master rank fighters. I can enter them into the tournament individually. But just like in "Fray" and "Skirmish" you need to run hirelings alongside one player controlled character. Your own recruits cannot be used as Ai fighters. And well... I only have recruits. None of which I would like to sacrifice in order to have hirelings instead. So my issue is that recruits may only be player controlled in tournaments and can't be given into the hands of AI.
@@carlstirlingschannel Like... Who has to go now so I can hire at least one hireling? Goliath? Eric? Ronja? Arthur? Richard? Eugene? Manfred? They all have their unique colour, weapons and style. 🫠
It's not really because i hated it, it's because it was an investment. I wasn't sure of how entertaining or useful I could be for my viewers if i were to play that game here
Lol I have already won a few tournaments and after watching this video I am just learning you can scale down the tier section lulz idk how I missed that
Yeah... I kinda don't get why the devs just not use screen based walking orientation like in hotline miami. It makes sense for movement to be like this in a tank game, where the turret can rotate 380 degrees. But in a game where you play as a human this just feels rather awkward
@@carlstirlingschannel I was struggling how to operate the arena mechanics, why I could join some things, I why I could others etc. So when I see arena guide I'm thinking awesome. 4 mins later and we still going over basic controls. Its all good though bro, I was just ratty af last night, dropped you a sub as a sorry.
