A 10 minute wait for the monorail It shouldn't be a deal breaker Reward cards include free parking, / without resort fees . Guests aren't encouraged to stay in the room The size of the room shouldn't be a deal breaker. Reward cards, include upgrades to a tower suite at no additional charge by request The fairly priced restaurants are on the Miracle Mile. with lower drink prices Hotels are opening guest halls for dinning in place of buffets, to accommodate a larger number
This year I stayed at the Luxor in a pyramid corner suite, and in the tower in a standard room. The "suite" in the pyramid just includes a separate sitting area with a second tv (edit: also had ajetted tub in the room we didn't use) and the bathroom was HUGE. For the extra $15 a night it was worth it. It didn't feel very clean, and it was hot during the day. The tower room felt a bit fresher, and wasn't hot. And it felt roomy enough. The one drawback of the tower is that it was kind of a hike from the front desk and gaming floor. Blue Man Group was fun!
Thanks for the comment. Interesting that you find the tower room a farther walk. I always found it closer. Especially because the elevators are so far from the rooms in the pyramid. There are two towers though so one may be closer to what you like to do. I never needed the front desk after checking in so not sure if that distance should matter. As far as casinos I walk to Excalibur to gamble, so the towers are the same distance to that.
@@TravelMaximizer I was in the West Tower, so that's probably why... it's a real hike to get the elevator there. My card wasn't working for the elevator so I had to go back to the front desk a couple times to get it resolved.
Walking can be a plus. A trip to vegas can be good exercise. Many American cities rely on cars for transport because people like houses in the suburbs away from city centers. I have been all through Europe, Asia and Africa. No place is like the U.S. And there is nothing like Las Vegas. Thank you for the comment Martin Young.
I love Excalibur the royal tower rooms are nice I love how big the casino floor is the amount of fun slots there are its. Bright lively fun plus the buffet is good friendly staff
Have fun in Vegas! Those hotels are extra cheap during the week so if you are staying the weekend and have extra time you can add a few days for much less than Fri and Sat nights. Plus Vegas is nice when it's not as crowded. Also, consider trying out Myvegas rewards. Its a free way to get points towards free things like 2 for 1 buffet and free drinks or rooms. You have enough time to build the points. I have a video on my channel about that if you want to learn more.
I've stayed at both, and I hated Excalibur. I really enjoyed the Luxor so much better. The pool was better. As far as location, everything on the strip is far from everything else. Pricewise, there's a reason Excalibur is cheaper. Kind of you get what you pay for.
