Excavation business success tips. Talking about ways to be seen in traffic and improve public image My other Channel DIGGINLIFE DEEPER- / @digginlifedeeper3670
Man, I am so glad I found your channel. I own a nice dump trailer and a skid steer to do work on my property and I've toyed with the idea on and off about doing some contract work to supplement my income but I had no idea where to start! I really appreciate all of the info
Lovin' your videos! Ive been thinking of starting a business this coming spring. I have experience with many different excavation machinery, but Im really learning a lot about the business side of things which was what I needed. And I thank you for that. The only thing I have against me, is the shyness when conversing with people. Great job, keep it up!
Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! This video was good the first time around...and you made it even better the second time! You make it all seem very simple. No nonsense, common sense approach mixed with honesty, integrity, and a strong work ethic = a receipt for success. Thanks, Todd!
Awesome channel mate . I wish there were things like RU-vid when I started 3 decades ago . Ya never know you might even teach this old Aussie a thing or 2. Never stop learning , no matter how long you've been in the game , things change and you need to be adaptable . Keep up the good work mate.
Huge fan of people who explain the money side. I ran equipment for years for someone else and just collected a check. Knowing the estimate side and ranges if huge.
Man… Diggin(pardon the pun) your videos.. The way you explain situations is helping me a lot… Just started my business and learning so much…. Local guy as well … Marion. ThAnks I appreciate what you do…
Sub'd. I really like your down to earth style videos. Not a bunch of click bait bull crap, but meaningful tips from an honest dude. Also, a buddy and I are starting up and having some ballpark pricing numbers to compare to has been really helpful.
Learn how to estimate your jobs and then you can bid work. Get a LLC established and you can build your business credit where the business has its own business credit score.
Thanks. Your videos are a great help. I just bought a dump truck, trailer, excavator and about to get a skid steer. I have stuff to do around my property. But I am aiming to start my own business eventually.
This was the most informative "how-to-bake-a-cake" tail gating video I've ever seen. You helped this rookie a lot. Thanks! BTW, I grew up in Marion. I know all your haunts!
Thanks for the informative video. My plan is to own a dump truck in the fairly near future. I already have a skid steer that I use in my fence building business, I would like to do more skid steer work and excavation.
Great video my man! I really need to try and tailgate some washed stone it lays down so nice. I’m the same way I make more money with my machines than I do trucking so it’s tough for me to stop those and haul stuff. Appreciate the video
You mentioned the throttle lag or "dead peddle" on your new truck with the 6.7 diesel. Have you looked into a throttle sensitivity booster? Really simple plug and play
1st off i enjoy your videos and am picking up on your advice,, lol. Slowly, I'm new to Dumptrucks and spreading gravel ect. I have a f550 with a landscape bed on it I load about 5 tons at a time to spread, my question is the bed is hydraulic/electric and doesn't go up or down quick like yours, and it doesnt have that apron on it, any tips on tailgate spreading that might make it a little easier and more professional, I'm a retired Man who got into this work to keep this ole Man busy, I would really appreciate any input to ease the pain, lol, Happy Easter to You and Your Family, I understand this is a older post but thought I would try anyhow
I had one of those on my 2017 Camaro SS. Amazing little gadget but it also put my car in limp mode. Worth it? Not in my opinion. The old trucks are so much better for several different reasons. ;)
I have a tiny 27 horse farm tractor and a tiny 3900 lb excavator. My flat bed trailer can hold up to 5,900 lb. I'm having a hard time getting trenching work but I'm getting all kinds of post hole work. I guess at least one of the tractors is making money. Any ideas on how to get the excavator to work?
Have you ever worked with chute gates? What type of gate gives you the best adaptability to multiple purposes? Is there anything you wont haul in your dump?
I have a F800 Gas 429 . I bought a Peterbilt single axle that needs a engine . I just got a 350 small cam for the Pete . I hope to get the engine installed in the upcoming near future . Do you think I will really appreciate the Pate much better than the Gas Ford ?
@@DigginLife21 yeah that’s about right. I always heard to base price off rental prices for flat rate daily work. It’s nice owning your own equipment you can take the extra money and use for maintenance work on the machine.
