Should have given the chain saw operator another minute or two to finish his cuts and step 8' away for safety, prior to handling the logs with the excavator. Job site accidents due to rushing, sucks. js.
Very smooth moves. Here in Nova Scotia Canada we cut the trees down with the saw first then dig out the stump. I like your version better wouldn't work as well up here as our trees are usually bigger. Really enjoy watching your videos.
Man I love watching seamless bucket and thumb action! I have to ask.. to control the thumb on your excavator is it a thumb toggle on your sticks, or a control pedal? I have had the chance to try both in my field.. and the thumb toggle is insanely smoother.. Keep up the awesome vids.. Cheers
Man that is two guys who have a lot of trust for the other one. You have to trust him to be where you expect him to. He has to trust that you won't hit the log he's sawing on. Your helper should at least have chainsaw chaps on though.
Healthy and safety seems like it isn;t a big issue like it is over here in Britain. Your friend with the chainsaw would have to wear the proper safety chainsaw trousers (or is he wearing some?) plus an Hi-vis jacket plus a hard hat, plus you'd have to wear a hard hat and hi-vis too. Health and safety here is nuts half the time.
You should smile more. You are lucky to be able to run such nice and new equipment. Your "helper" should have cut closer to the stump, he cut off a extra foot that could have been added to the log. I would have held the log up for him so he wouldn't have to bend over.
poorassfrmboy theres always a bunch of dirt close to the stump so we come down a foot or so. don't have the time to sweep every log off and it kills blades if you try to cut through dirt with them

Did you have legal permission to cut these trees? Did you plant elsewhere to make it up for what you cut? If planting saplings, it should be at least twice the number you destroyed, to hopefully undo the damage you did to the green urban.
