Even doing the blade first, when you boom down to lift the machine up, you also need to stick out so that you are pushing the excavator into the truck. If you only move the main boom the arc of the boom will start pulling the machine closer to the bucket(away from the truck) the lower the boom gets.
I just sold £150. my very good pair of Ifor Williams Steel galvanized ramps each one was 3500kg so a safety weight of 7000kg . But New is £300 to £350 .
I often think about this seeing people doing this. It's like, what's the big deal with using some nice high quality aluminum ramps. All the time you spent lining it up and getting in and out the ramps would pay for themselves relatively quickly.
Hey I'm a 20 yr operator, and I think you exercise one of the best qualities of operating. You were going slow and being cautious. You just messed up. Experience always wins. And I'm sure you know what you did wrong by now. Good luck man...God bless in Jesus name...
I'm with the guy that commended you for showing your mishap. We use trailers in the USA for that, the no ramp method is dangerous for obvious reasons. Take care and be safe.
Hey mate hope your head isn't too sore...you need to learn to use the track levers with your feet and always get the edge of the tray past the sprockets before you swing around also keep the door shut when doing this sort of thing because it adds support to the rops if you do crash and burn, happy digging
Dude now would be the time to change those hard to reach swing hoses..😅. Glad no one was hurt. I've seen this done a lot but can be dangerous especially if your lags are full of mud. I have a float for my excavator. Very easy and painless.
Never climb up like that. Always have the blade as security behind you. I have done this with several types of machines over the years, and in Scandinavia this was s normal way to transport machines. This is a learning video of how you DOBT do it. Glad you are ok.
@@barzdastato mainly...it's most important you are ok. All do mistakes, and i know many who have fallen off, tipped backwards etc etc.. especially in winthertime when it's anow and ice..i never liked it then.
I guess its so easy to criticise some one who struggles with this manoeuvre. For some this is so easy & done multiple times a day. For others, pure stress. How ever you tried. Much more than many others. That's a +. Im sure by now you have mastered this gig. Well done. Forgive previous harsh comments.
How i use to say: nobody born knowing everything. If you want to learn you have to try and from fails that you make on the way, you learn new things and abilties. Now worries all good. Thanks for watching.
Its hard to truly learn what not to do until you have done it, That's what experience is called and with that the ability to change your tactics next time, and bring spare pants lol. I have had my share of machinery scares. Even better when you can correct your own mistakes like you did and big shout out for making it public, I would have burned that video before anyone saw it lol. Well done with the seat belt, Everything else is what it is but without the seatbelt you may be in a very different result. Learn and move on from a nobody down in New Zealand.
You had to push the machine a little towards the truck and travel in a little before lifting the other end up. Or with a machine this big wi would usually load the blade side first. When you do that you can turn around and track further towards the truck without lifting the other end up from the ground.
@@barzdastato ooh i'm suprised. Knowing prices for parts for agricultural equipment that's actually pretty low. Sorry for english not my first language.
Just think of how much money you would have saved to have just bought a trailer. Just think of how much TIME you would save to load onto a trailer instead of this risky maneuver. I've seen people with too much confidence and bravado try this maneuver before (and yes most succeed most of the time) but I have NEVER seen anyone try to do this SOLO as the truck driver and equipment operator. That was twice the recipe for disaster. You shouldn't be surprised - sooner or later this was coming your way - its just statistics. I'm glad your ok, hope you learned more from this than simply trying again next time. Imagine doing this and having one of many hydraulic lines burst. Imagine doing this and having the truck brakes let go or the tires lose traction in the mud and start sliding. Imagine doing this and having a soft spot in the dirt cause one end of the blade to sink in. There is only about 100 things outside of your control that could go wrong even if your a top operator who does all your precise maneuvers right - then you put the icing on the cake by doing this alone solo getting in and out of the mini-ex over and over in odd positions. Don't mean to chew you out, but just get a dang trailer. Then you could haul your equipment and a load of dirt it dug at the same time.
You learn from your mistakes just glad you wasn't hurt, it's just as easy using the ramps for safety reasons but if you don't put blade onto tray first
I'm a retired heavy equipment operator and loading in dump truck is easy. Folks please don't do what this guy did.You never get out and you darn sure don't back your truck up to it.
@@barzdastato I've done it many times with no truck moving. As you found out extremely dangerous that way. I'm certified so I know what I'm doing. Just spend time learning the controls. This can be done safely. If I was there I would show you the correct way to do this. Be safe
Never done it myself but those I'e seen done it got that iron bar in front and drive up, then sving the digger around and back up. You do not back the truck.
There are literally hundreds of videos on RU-vid of people doing this successfully. I’ve never seen one of them raise the digger and then try and reverse the truck under it.
Interestingly, I see a lot of videos where the truck/trailer is always driven "under" the excavator when it is high. I would never do it that way. Either you can push up on the truck and reach the loading area with the blade and the undercarriage, which would have been possible without any problems in this case, or you leave it altogether and use loading ramps. Driving the vehicle back and forth is somehow wrong in all areas.
Keep ur chin up about most comments on here, harf the people here won't no how to drive a digger, the harf that do only think thay can drive a digger, but will be a small few that can operate an excavator and yes there's a big difference. I like the way u own what people are saying so ur on ur way maybe.blade frist next time a,on ya
Lol. No. Absolutely was operator inexperience. This shit is easy for an experienced operator who knows how to use the boom/dipper and track foot pedals in unison. He needs to practice crawling up over logs and learn how to use boom/ dipper controls with your hands and track controls with your feet in unison and this becomes easy and safe even with a slippery truck deck.
Just first look at the vid i see the mistake instantly NEVER have the blade on the back blade has too be infront ALLWAYS if u lose the Grip the blade will save u and also u will not make that big marks after u on the ground i know it is scary to swing when it's so high up but thats the best way just take it easy dont rush and make sure ur not too far out hope it went well whit the machine and u take care❤
Ума нет- считай колека, зачем руля крутил? Надо было сразу ровно к кузову подъезжать и при заезде ,,задним,, ходом на платформу рукоять одновременно с ковшом выворачивать. 2 основные ошибки.
If you value your time at all, you could buy a trailer instead of trying to load in truck bed every time you came to job site.. Load then unload...time is money
Don't need ramps just need a operator. You saw his qualifications first hand when he didn't even have enough sense to shut the machine off while it was on its side all the while
