Nice to see you getting your hands dirty once again. Brings back memories of when I used to crawl under whatever to sort out a problem. Thanks. Look forward to the next, cleaner episode.
Great video Brandon I felt for you when you were under it. Personally I like Red Wing work boots they are American made and I have had really good luck with them. Take care guys and have a great weekend 👍
Service truck setup right is worth its weight in gold. Finally got mine just they way I wanted it. And I have no idea how I ever got any thing done before it. Great video
Brandon new subscriber here and wanna be an operator one day, found this video very informative and helpful in understanding differences between Swing motor and Rotary manifold , thanks for a great video !
Great video first off but what kind of pants are you wearing by chance? I’m looking for better ones than I currently have for work. Any good recommendations?
I love my Brunt boots. 6” Marin is the model I have. They are holding up well so far and very comfortable. That’s quite the messy job y’all got going on.
neat water can cause a tone of damage as it freezes and thaws. where that large drive gear with all the lubricant , is that contaminated with water? do you have to empty and fill it again with fresh oil ? to stop the oil from coming down your arm, take a blue shop towel and wrap it around your tie it at your wrist, that will prevent it from rolling down your arm, at worse it will drop off the towels location. old oil stinks so bad ! especially old 90 w gear oil! take care, be safe and stay healthy!
Harbor Freight has a great set of long Allen sockets that work great for your application on those hydraulic fittings. I've been working in hydraulics for over 25 years
Definitely messier that changing an extremely gunked up tail rotor transmission on a Coast Guard Sikorski HH52a Seaguard amphibious helo. I changed a couple of those and it always seemed they were covered in all kinds of crap including Aviation mil spec grease other AD'S hadn't cleaned good enough. Definitely looking forward to an episode 2 on this job. Thanks for the early Saturday afternoon entertainment Sir.
