Hi Brendon, I took the Certiport Excel the other day and failed with a 56%. Granted, I did have many problems with my internet connection, but I was still unfamiliar with the material. After a day of watching your videos, I passed with 96%. Thank you for the help. You would be a great University professor on this subject.
@Joe I'm sorry to hear about your first experience on the exam, but I'm extremely excited to hear that you almost earned a perfect score the second time around. This is really an incredible story! I'm thankful that you found my videos helpful as you prepared. Thank you for taking the time to comment!
Just took MO-200 excel 2019 exam. I got a 930/1000 on the exam. This video and your "Excel 2016 Certification Project" video were the best youtube videos I watched when preparing
@Zybad Congrats on passing the exam! You did very well on the exam. I'm extremely thankful to hear that you found a few of my videos helpful as you prepared. Congrats again!
Hello Brendan. Today I took the Excel test and got an excellent score 1000/1000. I watched your videos about the Excel and they have been very helpful. Thank you, you are a great teacher 🎉
@Leon Donald that is a great score! Congrats on earning your certification. I’m thankful to hear that you found my content useful. Thank you for taking the time to comment.
Hi Brendan. I want to thank you so much, because I passed the exam today thanks to your videos. THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing your knowledge with us. Greetings from El Salvador.
@Chris that is awesome. Congrats to you! Thank you for taking the time to comment and let me know. I'm thankful to hear that you found my videos helpful as you prepared for the exam. Congrats again on passing!
Just passed my Excel 2019/365 exam about 1 hour ago with a score of 925/1000. Your video helped me greatly. God bless and thanks for sharing your knowledge and guidance.
@Mariana Fernandes This is great news! Congrats on earning your certification! Also, thank you for taking the time to comment. I'm thankful to hear that you found my videos helpful as you prepared for the exam!
Made an 825 out of 1000 on my Excel 2019 thanks to your 2016 excel videos and this 2019 video I learned so much and can understand what questions asked of me thanks to your teaching. Due to this video showing the functions they wanted I was able to answer them properly instead of using a different formula function that would have been incorrect to what they wanted.
I will take the exam this coming May 5 for a school competition. I hope that I would pass the exam. I will update you here after the competition. Thank you for the videos, it really helps a lot
Hi Brendan! Your video has done remarkably good job for my exam. I got 897 marks. Thank you I finished just before 5 minutes, 6 projects, 36 questions...yea screen sometimes becomes slow, each sheet open when I click twice, generally excel opens in one click.
Many thanks Brendan, your videos where very helpful. I passed the MO-200 yesterday got 890. Keep up the amazing work!!!! I have booked my MO-201 for next 2 weeks, but good resources are limited and in the UK they are still shipping the old 2016 guide, so its difficult to map the content from the 2019 guide.
@K Barnaby this is awesome news! Congrats! For the MO-201 exam have you looked into this book MOS Study Guide for Microsoft Excel Expert Exam MO-201: amzn.to/3aX8uAs? You will want to make sure that you are ready for this exam. It is going to be much more difficult than the MO-200 exam. You might also want to look into the GMetrix.com software to test your skills. You will want to make sure that you carefully review the exam domains and make sure that you feel comfortable with all of the functions as well as advanced customization. Here is a link to the exams page docs.microsoft.com/en-us/learn/certifications/exams/mo-201. It has a link at the bottom of the page that lists out all of the domains and the functions that you could be asked to carry out on the exam. On the exam, you might have to read the task question two and three times before you are able to carry out the task. They are going to try and trip you up with the wording of the task question. You are also going to have to be able to make assumptions on what to do based upon the spreadsheet that they give you and the task question.
Hi Brendan, Very informative stuff, thanks for that. It would be great if you also give just a brief comparison of MOS 2016 & MOS 2019 I have noted that two new functions Len() & Textjoin() have been added in 2019 exam. Named reference is also introduced. Thanks
@Tauqeer Ahmed Here are the differences in the functions of the two exams. Excel 2016: SUMIF, AVERAGEIF, COUNTIF, PROPER, and CONCATENATE Excel 2019: COUNTA, COUNTBLANK, CONCAT, TEXTJOIN, and LEN I had recorded a video on the functions found on the 2016 exam which can be found here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GmqzinAs31M.html.
Hi! I take my exam soon and used Lynda to study up on all the Domains. I'd like to follow along with you on the worksheets. Can you include the worksheets for practice?
At the video 24.01 I followed the instructions, however my hours worked (40) has no space in my string. =CONCAT(C5," worked", G5," hours this week.") appears as.... HOLLY felter worked40 hours this week. Please advise me on what I'm doing wrong?
would the exam be relatively easy if you did good on practice exams and finsihed a linked in course? also what are some things to watch out for in the exam
@Ezekiel Betito Which practice exams are you referring to? Was the LinkedIn course specific to the 2019 exam? Here is a video that I made regarding the exam which might be helpful to your question for tips on the exam ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jBApGqM5LiM.html.
Hey Brendan I tried using my F4 key and tried to copy the functions you did from 2:40 - 7:30 but my F4 key dosen't seem to work on Excel it only asks if I want a second screen or something?
@Vijay Chandra your keyboard might have that button programmed with a feature. Maybe there is a FN button that you need to push as well. If that still doesn’t work, you can always skip the keyboard shortcut and type the $ before the column or row.
@PC 1 In my worksheet, I had a named range called Monday that I had created before I began using the SUM function. You will need to create a named range in order to use the range in your function. Here is a link to an older video that I made on naming ranges ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TXgvt_K52oc.html.
@Saurabh V It really depends on your situation. I know that some employers require you to have certain MOS certifications in order to be hired. I know that for myself and my students that it has opened doors of opportunity.
@Zee Stream they have not be released yet. Is there anything specific you are looking for? If I have recorded that video, maybe I can move it up in the release schedule.
Yes, the TEXTJOIN function allows you to ignore empty cells, but it also allows you to add a delimiter between the cells. The CONCAT function and the CONCATENATE function do the same thing.
