Hi looking forward to this to see if i can learn more. Range is what I have the most issues with - hoping this will help with my issue raised after your change undo log where I need to add further ranges to the log to note a secondary drop down selection! Thanks for the great tutorials Randy!

Great training, one question, how do you create an auto number for your invoice

Hi and thanks so much. To create an auto-invoice you can use the Max formula as long as all invoice #'s are numerical such as =Iferrror(Max(Inv_Numb)+1,1) If there is no data, this will revert 1 as your starting Invoice #. I hope this helps and thanks so much.

Thank you randy for this great tutorial, you're really shifting excel to a new level. Regarding the hidden named ranges how to utilize it in a spread sheet? I mean that the named range is hidden but the values of cells that refer to it still exists

Hi and thanks very much. The hidden named ranges can be used like any other named ranges, and they can be used in VBA or in formulas. The only difference is that the hidden named ranges are not visible in the Name Manager. I hope this helps and thanks so much.

Hi and thanks so much. You can run a loop through the workbook or worksheet with a variable such as Dim NamRng as name For each NamRng in Thisworkbook NamRng.Delete Next NamRng (something like that however I have not tested the code) I hope this helps and thanks so much.

Hey Randy you can make Named Ranges like this in VBA I know you don't have to use arrays. This is just an example Sub NameRange() Dim xAdds(1 To 4) As String, xNames(1 To 4) As String xAdds(1) = "C3" xAdds(2) = "C4" xAdds(3) = "C5" xAdds(4) = "C8:C11" xNames(1) = "ChargeTax" xNames(2) = "TaxName" xNames(3) = "TaxRate" xNames(4) = "Locations" For x = 1 To 4 Sheet1.Range(xAdds(x)).Name = xNames(x) Next x End Sub

Hi and thanks very much. Certainly many ways to create named ranges. If you have a lot of them to name, via VBA and they are in specific rows or columns, then a For/Next loop is a great idea. Thank you for your Likes, Shares & Comments. It really helps.

You would have to separate the cells with a coma though.
