I agree with what you're getting at... I think what X was trying to accomplish with the new visuals is to do something different and new, not necessarily "better or cooler." The Nexus visuals are the same concept as Eric Prydz holo visuals, he took inspiration from that and made a dubstep version of it. I like the Nexus visuals because the "3D" aspect is cool, not cause it's "better" than his older stuff. He's doing a throwback set for Bass Canyon Day 3 this year, I'm sure he will have some new visuals but mostly using his older ones cause they fit the throwback set. I hope that makes sense lol.
