That is to say I don't totally agree with some people keeping them as pets. But, monkeys can be very social and intelligent animals, also empathetic. Being around a monkey that is well conditioned and socialized with humans is very safe.

There is no real definitive proof that the hickey is directly related to the blood clot, but if it was related to the hickey he most likely had a genetic connective tissue or clotting disorder. On a normal person it's unlikely to happen. Plus, 1 other case has only been reported in history, and the other person lived. So your chances of it happening are like 1 in 10 billion or something. lol
