One thing I love about Jordan Travis is that all though he was injured,he humbled himself and rallied around his Seminoles teammates. He always put God first in all things. As a Noles fan I will miss seeing him at the Doak but look forward to hearing about his time in the NFL...I pray for his future and all that life has for him.The Jets have gain a valuable player to their team.
Love it, Love it, Love it! Red Shirt him. In '25 & '26, Draft a Premium Lineman both years. We will have Tippmann, AVT, Foshanu and 2 Premium Lineman blocking for Travis by the time he plays!!! LOVE THIS MOVE! J.D. IS KING!!!! 🫡👏👏👏👏
Are the Jets going to suck again next year again? Because if they aren't, then there will be no more premium linemen left when the Jets are on the clock.
I’m a fsu fan I can honestly say that jets got there hand on the best QB to come out of fsu he flipped are whole team around to be the best team in acc definitely getting a JT JET jersey
J-Trav was around 5th in Heisman consideration before his injury. FSU was undefeated and they knocked them out of the playoffs because he couldn’t play. I am not saying he is perfect but I really don’t get why people are so down on him. This is a great situation for him and I’m really rooting for him to succeed here.
You know whats pretty cool too, well not cool but beneficial for Jordan, is that he had a season ending injury to his leg, as did Rodgers. I'm sure there are certain conversations that will be had where Rodgers will give him some good stuff for his comeback mentality and help build him up even further. I'm stoked we have a potential QB that we are SITTING to learn not only from a future HOFer but a solid journeyman as well. He's in a really solid spot and I'm excited about this.
If he didn't break his leg, I believe that Travis would have easily been a top 50 pick. If he can physically heal up and return to form, this will be a steal!
id say what i like most about him is that he hits the easy throws , the dump offs , the shirt ones with leads to his receivers and backs ... and his drop backs are nice at 9 yards not 11 and 12 where the De get to him ... he also climbs the pocket and lets it form around him ... his arm strength is good and he is smart .. not looking to run but if it presents itself he will take it ..
I so hope you’re right. Travis seems to be a high quality guy. The Jets have drafted QBs high and failed, maybe getting someone in the later rounds will work.
Richie - I need to out of my way to start catching your show again. This is my one safe haven from the negative / Jets wont win anything mentality ( person ) that has been given a platform on so many other YT shows. Youre always fired up and a TRUE fan and its awesome. You know Jordan Travis is MY guy and we finally got him. Jermaine is maybe even happier than me and nobody is happier than JTrav - hes gonna come in and go to work, we got a good one. Go JETS!!!!
Bro! This is my dude! Always look forward to the future! Prometheus! This was a very great draft! I was baffled!! I honestly thought Jordan Travis was getting bagged on especially after the injury you know how great he played!? Crazy
If JT can pick the brains of both Rodger’s and Taylor for the next two seasons and take everything onto the field when he’s ready it should translate into something special, excited 🔥
Hey Richie, you've veen super busy lately, but I do think when you are mentioning stats, it would be great to see them on screen as you talk. Just a small thought - always love the perspective and breakdowns!
I agree with you. I wanted the Jets to draft Jordan Travis as the developmental future Jets starting quarterback. Unlike Sam Darnold and Zack Wilson, he doesn't need to start right away. He's in a very good situation.
He’ll be the limitless test of our coaching staff Zach Wilson could’ve easily sat and developed me while with them to the fire with an incomplete line and not realizing we’ve never developed a QB as a organization
He clearly needs to get stronger, but he has said that he is already about 210 lbs. Once he heals up, he should be fine. An ideal playing weight for him should be around 220 lbs.
I have to admit i'm a bit skittish about what I'm seeing here Rich. I didn't see him make any throws from the pocket. I'd really like to see them try a more traditional style QB for a change. For some reason when I think about the highlight tapes I've seen going all the way back to Geno Smith, they all feature guys running around like madmen making crazy out of pocket throws. Feels like we've been there done that so i have a hard time getting pumped by what I'm seeing. Hope I'm wrong.
honestly wouldn’t mind putting him on IR to start the season and really not let him get the field at all, mental reps only at least for the first half of the season
I think if any of us are expecting Jordan Travis to become the future qb1 for the Jets than that is a mistake. I am hoping he can turn into a capable backup and spot starter at least which imo is a more realistic outcome. Is it impossible for Jordan to become the future of the Jets? Of course not, i just think we should all keep our emotions and expectations in check.
You are over hyping JT just like ZW. I don't like any of them. ZW at least had a better arm strength and throwing motion. At best the kid will earn free cheque for 4 years. good for him. JL is 10 times a better QB than JT coming out of college.
Well, not a big Jordan Travis fan. He is older. Will he be playing into his early to mid forties? He is coming off of an injury. It is a mistake to draft a young talented QB and throw him right out there right away. No player is a perfect prospect. Everyone has drawbacks. Now that Travis is a Jet let's hope he develops better than Darnold and Wilson.
