From the gameplay that I've seen the combat looks worse. I don't know why they didn't ask fans what they would have like first. I wanted to think that these guys could do it justice since they have a passion for the series kind of like Beenox and Spider-Man but the talent just isn't there. The combat was already pretty good in the first one they just needed to up the frame rate to make it smoother and tweak the controls. This one looks a lot tougher. Someone in the comments of another video said that Platinum game should have been given the chance to make an Afro game and I couldn't agree more. Even though it was a cash grab for Activision the combat in Korra was amazing and I'm sure transformers will be just like that game where the story is weak but the combat is super nice and at 60 fps.

They should have given this game to either SUDA 51 or Platinum Games to make cuz this looks awful.

Hold up now, I'm a fan of Afro Samurai and I have to say that this isn't a bad idea for a game. It's kind of brilliant, go thru the journey wit Kuma and see the shit he did so he could avenge his loved ones. Witness as he kills/hacks thru those who slaughtered his family...which leads up to the main source of who eradicated his home. Afro Samurai!!!

When I played it, I thought all it needed was smoother animation. Beyond that, it's a great game, considering the size of the studio making it.

From what I remember this was supposed to be dlc from the first game. Despite the flaws from the first game I really enjoyed it. I'm looking for to the 2nd game. Some criticism, fix camera and fix the hit detection on the enemies otherwise I can't wait

So you stray from the original story, and make the game episodic. I'm already expecting this to be 5/10 from quality alone.

Only thing good about this game is that in this they made the headband longer than it was in the first game where it was short

I love Afro Samurai and I really wanted a new game where you can play as Kuma, justice, and Afro's dad. But this... they would have been better off making a Kickstarter. This game had good intentions but I feel like the love put into the first game was lost. The graphics and gameplay look like mid-era PS3. I mean look at those cutscenes! This looks like a download only, 20-25 dollar title. I was hoping we would get either another Afro Samurai game, a Rurouni Kenshin or Samurai Champloo game. I can only hope that if Afro can get a sequel to a game that had mixed reviews from 2009 that those series can get a chance as well.

Man I like the idea of a sequel to Afro Samurai but episodic? Does it really need to be episodic? I dunno....I would probably wait until all the episodes drop and they bundle them into a physical disc and get that....you know like a regular game.

I wish they adopted either the Arkham or Devil May Cry mechanics. Kuma's moves seem cool but looks clunky to control. I see him miss targets too much...from close range :(

Im kinda worried about this game. The first was so much fun and I replayed the hell out of it, I have gotten my full enjoyment from it and still play it to this day. This game doesn't look so good, I have seen some gameplay and to be honest.... I would rather keep playing the first then buy a new game that is not as good....boy do I hope I'm wrong.

When you play the originals, you realize the gameplay actually got in the way of the game unless it was a boss fight. It seems like once again the game play is just filler.

The gameplay behind them was skiping frames all the time and the gameplay looks really bad looks like this game was finished right afther the original one on ps3 and 360 and wait until every one forget that the first games was also pretty bad to re-release it

The first game was perfect, this one is almost lazy. The graphics are weak & the the fps are sad. However the story is excellent, if the developers make an update to make it more like the last games it'll actually be worth buying

Hook boy, did these guys fuck up this game. Not only are the glitches game breaking, and not only is the gameplay sloppy, but these guys didn't even get the fucking voices. I swear to christ, they really used the sounds from first Afro Samurai game, and even ripped the speech Justice gave Afro at the end of the game. The funniest part is that it doesn't make any fucking sense in the story, because it makes it seem like the speech is for Kuma. The flipping fuck happened guys?

I knew nothing about the show fell in love with the game after finding it in the $5 bin, but wtf? everything you said makes me not want to buy it from anything but guilt for skipping it the first time. "Rza is the heart and soul of Afro," so instead of his music he will be a scripted character? Episodic? Gameplay dumbed down instead of fine tuned and fixing the camera? You want to listen to the community, well I may not be in that group but I would and have championed your previous game and my money would b e that I'm not alone in my displeasure. Abort now secure funding to do it right release it in a vacuum like dying light did and see if you couldn't of made comps to their game. I'm done with any hope here and will wait again for the $5 bin and hope I'm wrong.

Booring gameplay just like first game.

This game was an unfinished plate of doo doo butter that they tried to sell to people with little to no work put into it at all. The sound mixing was awful, the graphics were awful, the combat was awful, the "cutscenes" were awful, GOD they even just used the first games 3d models holding stiff poses for cutscenes. Laziest shit ever.

........ they are ruining a great anime and game with this. I Loved the first game. Now they are making it episodic... ok that might work, graphics look like the original game, controls look bad, and now adding RZA as a character...... that there is stupid.... his music made the show yes but you cant add him in the story....

Just tried it. It's garbage. Feels very unfinished and the combat is piss poor compared to the first game.
