I taught my sons to never put their hands on a female until one day one of them came home with his face bruised and his $200+ jogging suit jacket was ripped up because he didn't hit his ex back when she clearly laid hands on him. And in that very moment I let him know, that if ANYONE put their hands on him first..return the favor.
