Tearaway Thomas was the closest thing we had to Sonic on the amiga. And i still think thsy with the right people (plus some compromises) we could have got sonic on the amiga in a way or another. I remember that there was a similar director's cut for Worms for dos in late 90's too
If there was Mario on C64, we could have Sonic on Amiga. Easy. Also, there was another very fast platformer on the Amiga - Wiz'n'Liz. And yes, DOS had a better version of Worms too, I think Reinforcements, but DC was the most complete AFAIK out of all ports of the first one.
It's definitely in the top 3. Maybe first, who knows. Though I did not mind worms in 3D on original XBox and actually had a lot of fun with it, so don't take my word for it. xD
It's not me, it's what the Internet is saying: "Worms: The Director’s Cut and Worms and Reinforcements United are two expansion packs of the original Worms game. The Director’s Cut was released in 1997 and enhanced the engine, graphics, and gameplay of the original game. It introduced new features such as the ability to perform a backflip, new weapons, and a level editor 12. Worms and Reinforcements United, on the other hand, combined both Worms and Reinforcements onto one CD-ROM and included a 3.5-inch floppy disk with extra landscapes. It is the second-largest expansion pack of the original Worms, with the largest and final expansion pack being Worms: The Director’s Cut 3."
Worms DC was one of my favourite games. When me and my friends moved on to PC's we would play worms armageddon, trials evolution or rocket league every thursday night after work. Unfortunately, I am (was?) really good at the game. So good in fact, before we stopped playing it (and trials) entirely, both my friends would gang up on me. I didnt mind as Id still win about 3/4 of the games. If only I could have pushed myself a little harder to "accidentally" mess my shot up (and give my friends an actual chance), we might have still been playing it today. But, noooo. I had to be the best and place holy hand grenades at the feet of my foes in an attempt to wipe out entire teams with a single shot. No wonder they eventually gave up XD
Seems like fun memories. Sad to see that they're all the past. But I kinda get that. Different game though. Buzz. The quiz game series. I win like 90-95% of games with my friends. Fewer and fewer of them wanna play it. xD
Swards & Galleons is trying very hard to be Pirates. It’s not a bad game by any means but the problem it has is, Pirates exists… Wild Cup Soccer’s bloodiness is somewhat entertaining but just not enough to keep me interested in a soccer game. Oh wow! SEN reminds me of the “doomsday book” that was shown to British schools on laser disk. If nothing else it did try something different? Zombie apocalypse II looks kind of fun to be honest? To kill a little time anyway. Top Wrestling looks like an 8 bit game with an Amiga makeover. Since you haven’t recommended playing 2 player I’m going to take it as one to ignore. 😄 Sierra Soccer is OK. It’s like an improvement on Sensible Soccer, a soccer game I actually will play from time to time. The World of Magic looks like Simon the Sorcerer we have at home? It’s not one I know? Super Tennis Champs, like a lot of older tennis games is surprisingly fun & one to add to your collection. WORMS: TDC!! Just as good on Amiga as any other platform. I can't tell you how much time my mate Rob & me sunk in to worms on the original Play Station, nobody wanted to play with us because we’d just wipe them out so we could get to the very long battle between us! 😄 Tearaway Thomas is new to me. Its speed is impressive & so fast it’s actually part of the challenge, by the looks of it? Great list, thanks. The Amiga was indeed a very special system that influenced gaming for a very long time after it became obsolete. I snagged Hacknet I’m afraid. Thanks.
You're right. And not only Pirates! exist but also released years earlier and it was better. :) Zombie Apocalypse II is fun, for a short bit once in a while. But I'm not big on crosshair games, so it may be more fun to others. Top Wrestling is not great. I mean, if you are into wrestling games in particular, give it a go. But if you like fighters and wrestling games just tend to be among them, then it's pretty bad. And since you've no choice and always playing the same character with same moves, there's no longevity here whatsoever. I mean, someone could say that Panza Kick Boxing (my No. 1 fighting game on the Amiga, not favourite, I just think it's the best) also had all same characters, and that's correct. But it also has dozens upon dozens of realistic fighting moves and you can "equip" those that you'd like to use on your character, for a very customizable gameplay. Glad to know that I'm not the only one enjoying Sierra Soccer! :) World of Magic is a gem and definitely worth seeing. There's the second part too, and I may cover it at some point. They're like Lucasart's games wannabes. Not that they failed, just don't have even comparable production value. :) Tearaway Thomas is fun, but too fast for me to spend any reasonable time playing. I should really check it out on an XBox gamepad, it may be easier that way... Enjoy! :) Also, how do you like my putting game titles into the Toasties? This way, of someone has a game, they can just leave it for others. Oh, and I'm thinking of maybe having 10 game codes for my 10,000 subs video, but not as obvious as the Toasty but hidden within the video. That should be fun, hopefully. And since RU-vid literally killed my view counts, and by extension of that sub's growth, I should have more time to figure it out. Maybe I'll bake them in into the video, where they would pop up for a second or so, somewhere within the gameplay graphics. Think that would be fun?
@@OldAndNewVideoGames I’m a bit torn on the name above the code. I get why you’re doing it, it gives the first person who actually wants it a chance but at the same time it spoils the game? Yeh that would definitely be fun, a sort of digital easter egg hunt. I hadn’t realised you had that problem? Are others having the same issue?
@@nicholsliwilson Yeah, Easter Egg Hunt minus the Easter is what I had in mind. I'd mention in the intro how many there are and just leave it at that. Could be fun. So many of you come and watch the videos, so it's sorta thank you. It's not big, but it's something. :) I'm not sure if other channels experienced the same thing, it may be the case though as YT constantly changes something on the back end. But even if it's not the case, it is what it is, and we carry on. The difference is, I'll have more time to think about the special. ;)
Didn't know they had cameras to document the symptomy back then. Amazing that the old timers had technology that was lost and rediscovered in our times.
I didn't know vampiresses had menstrual cycles (that also make them allergic to clothes). Seems kinda counterproductive. But I take your word for it ;)
