I feel like they've done a good job creating a good control layout for the controllers. Mech games have usually been best on PC due to the access to the whole keyboard, but so far the controls don't seem to be overwhelming on controller.
This is the first time that AC is coming to PC so I think they've perfected that through the older titles. I think it is more if challenge for them to make the controls seem natural to keyboard and mouse users given that turning speed is a stat.
They really did! The default control scheme feels super natural and great to use, although an elite controller with back bumpers will definitely help the competitive players

This might be the best gameplay I've seen. Wonderful work! The Strider level reminds me soo much of Motherwill, right down to running away from it's demise.

I really hope M&K feels fluid on PC. I have a feeling they might try to add negative mouse acceleration to prevent players from instantly quick turning. Especially when quick turning and manual aiming are NOT unlocked by default, they might try to balance it for controller players

I noticed that the classic manual aim can be "enabled" by purchasing an os chip for it... If it's true that hard lock is slghtly less accurate, and if there's ever a way to shake lock off, then mouse aim seems like it will be broken in pvp
I'm pretty sure from what I've seen hard lock is only when the box appears on the hud, and the circle automatically sighting enemies is the soft lock. I.e: normally it will just softlock onto the enemy closest to the middle of the screen. Manual aim could definitely be god tier, especially for 1v1's...
The graphics aren't next gen (since this comes out on PS4 as well), but it's really hard to notice during the moment to moment gameplay. The HUD, the sounds and the actual combat work so well together. Only game I've preordered since 2020's Baldur's Gate 3 lol.
One tiny curiosity or complaint that I might have would be that I think you should take very minor damage if you’re standing right next to anything that explodes after you destroy it.

I'll be honest tho; as a Gundam fan, I kinda can't wait to customize my own AC into something loosey after the Demi Garrison from Witch from Mercury. That thing's kinda utilitarian design and the newly announced missile launchers for its backpack would be an interesting build to rip off of and may be the perfect color scheme on a snow cover heck scape that Rubicon 3 seams to be, you know???
I just afraid that this game don't get empty maps. From this gameplay I don't see much details about that because there are skipped playtrough moments.
Why do I have this terrible premonition that Walters line "A fitting end for something built to fail." either refers to something in the past we learn of, or is something that will show back up near/at the end of the game?
I definitely can tell this game is going to be fantastic and even so one tip for many players don't be reckless make sure to play smart and anticipate your enemies and including bosses weapons because our RU-vidr friend did it but oh so he died twice and even three times the total of three deaths from each mission and do make sure to go for a heavy stagger build because that will help you take down the enemy real quick with lots of staggering attacks even it may help you punish the boss with extreme pressure from each of the four guns that we are gifted but if you want to play it safe make sure to have a shield and using 3 weapons the stager with

don't know about "Does every mission end with a boss?", but it's been confirmed that there will be 5 chapters in this game with chapter 1 (the one shown in the demo footage) having 11 chapters starting with 'illegal entry' and ending with 'attack the watchpoint' its also been confirmed that the game will be around 50-60 hours long
Is it me or does Walter sound a little bit like 9-Ball? Although he was a bit more “strong in the throat” so to speak? I just can hear 9 ball pretty well if you mentally shift Walters voice a bit
I've got mixed feeling on Armored Core 6, it's going for a more quick action "dodge-attack" direction like Souls games and that's not a bad thing. It's bittersweet since there's fond thoughts of the old heavy mech movement from the old ACs,
@@malcomalexander9437nah ac4 is a ps3 game. 2006, but yeah the dodging gameplay is definitely something they were doing with armored core since the beginning, every game is a test to see how well you move more than anything else
I’m pulling a blank here, maybe it was because I was always a bipedal guy more than a threads guy but dodge shoot slash dodge has been my MO since the beginning
I had the same thoughts. The voice acting from the captain is really well done for expressing what's at stake for the inhabitants and their beliefs for this world
