The Congress party, as the oldest political party governing India since independence, is well aware of the situation in Manipur before its merger with the Indian Union in 1949. Congress party should not politicized public issue of Manipur , related with the sentiment of the Meiteis who wish to protect the integrity of Manipur state having a small area of 22327 km², demanding to Indian government to allow the indigenous Meiteis, Kukis, Nagas, Meitei panghals etc. to coexist in a normal peaceful life. The demand of the Meiteis is to implement NRC and to identify the illegal immigrant Kukis and others coming to Manipur after 1951 . But the kukis' demand is not to implement NRC and not to identify Kuki immigrants and again demanding a union territory or separate administration. Kukis' demand is not to construct border fencing of 398 km at Manipur - Myanmar border. The other demands of Kukis can be seen as submitted by the Kukis . The main demands for the Meiteis are only to protect the integrity of Manipur state protecting the indigenous Meitei, Nagas, Kukis, Meitei pangals etc. who have been coexisting since many years but not those illegal immigrant Kukis and others coming to Manipur state after 1951. The other demands of the Meiteis may be discussed with the record of the memorandum submitted by different groups of Meiteis to the Congress Leaders. Without proper diagnosis a Doctor cannot do anything to cure the disease of a patient. Manipur violence situation is in serious condition which requires sincere serious treatment with proper diagnosis by the Government of India , Central opposition Leaders , related stakeholders and the Government of Manipur. Please put your valuable mind to bring peace in Manipur but not to go only for the political gain of Congress Party. Only then there will be a way to bring Normalcy in Manipur by the Government of India and the Government of Manipur with the cooperation of Central Congress Leaders , other opposition leaders, related stakeholders and related people.
