I can't wait to hear how Todd Tucker reacts to this wonderful masterpiece. I'm sure that they'll find ways to modify it, maybe those color-changing flipper buttons.
Pat Lawlor designed the best pinball ever made, Twilight Zone. During its Fast Lock Multiball countdown he plays quotes from other pinball games he designed: The Addams Family, Funhouse, Whirlwind, Earthshaker, and Banzai Run, all excellent.
Freaking AMAZING!!!! My only dream is that they remake Back To The Future one sweet day and do it some serious justice!!!!!! Something that Michael J Fox would even approve of!!!!!
I visited my friend this weekend and was pleasantly surprised to find out that he just got this machine. Played it all weekend. It's an instant classic. Lots and lots of fun.
Pat & the entire team @ Jersey Jack, a Fantastic Game !!! Thanks for what you all do in keeping the games creative, exiting and fun for both new and long-time players.
Jack Albertson was 63-64 when the movie was made. As I watched this again, I said, "OMG all Pat needs is some white PJs, a boulder, and cane. And I could see him dancing and say "Good morning! Look at the fun!" when this game is released.
Wow I thought Stern was the last company making Pins. Great to see a Williams master still making games. Have to work in Vegas in July, gonna spend some time at the Pinball Hall Of Fame, hopefully they'll have one of these Wonka tables!
man Willy Wonka pinball machine looks amazing. I hope the few local pinball arcades left here in S Fla gets one. I so badly wanna play now. Brings me back to an easier less stressful time being a kid scrounging up quarters to so play pinball. Well done Jersey Jack.
Holy crap, when I had to get out of pin collecting a few years ago (damned economy and other various personal crapola) I think JJP was still pre-production on Wizard of Oz, and now I stumble upon this video and Pat friggin Lawlor is at JJP and looks to have designed another great game!! Man, I had 2 or 3 TZs over the years and at least one Addams - this is SO TEMPTING I'm kinda glad my current home is way too small...
The price point for the Standard Edition seems fair. Probably a much better value than a new Stern, which are not made with the same quality. Jersey Jack is finally producing more for less, and this is what will sell more units. I'd rather spend $7500 on one of these than $7500 on a Theater of Magic or Medieval Madness as strange as it may sound.
@@kennethcadwell2124 no, I think it's expensive either way. However, the cost of the parts and labor that go into these machines are not cheap. So, I can understand the price point that goes into the finished product. To each their own.
@@davidb.8948 yeah well you would be surprised that what it cost to make the machine is not even half the cost of what they are charging. That is whole problem with consumerism. They heavily mark up the pricing. I have seen to many shows that expose this raqatering.
@@kennethcadwell2124 it's a business like any other. Would I like to see these selling for $1500, of course? I also have not spent over $3000 on any of my machines. But, they are also all about 30 years old, so.....
Jesus Christ! This is that guy?!?!?! The one who made the Addams Family pinball machine!??!?! I used to tell EVERYONE, having been a vidiot and pinball guy since the 1970's, that Addams Family was THE BEST pinball experience I'd ever played... looks like I knew what I was talking about as confirmed by this guy and popular consensus! Twilight Zone is good, but nearly as. Now, the Willy Wonka machine and with the RIGHT Wonka Vision (the only one with the one and only, Gene Wilder!) Man, I can't wait to locate one and play it! This just made my day!!!
I'm glad Jersey Jack hired Mr. Lawlor. He's a legend in the pinball world and his trademarks really make the games he designs spark and kick. The rotating hole is a play on the rotating wall used in a few of his games, including Addams Family. They might want to modify the chute a little bit though. I'm foreseeing some wear and potential jam issues.
Oh thank God!!!!! I'm so happy this is based off the Amazing 1971 movie, and not horrible shitty 2005 movie. When I first heard about his I was terrified that it was the Depp version, and that movie was garbage. Semi watchable in 2005, unwatchable now. And if you do try and watch it, don't make the mistake I made and watch the 1971 first, followed by the 2005. It takes what could be a 2.5 and drops it down to a negative 8. Having said all that... This machine looks so amazing! I'm so jealous of anyone that gets to own one. You people suck! Unless you invite me over, and in that case, let's be best friends! The Texas Pinball Festival can not come soon enough for me. See you there next March in the back near the Wonkas!
Gold ball for the collector edition? Good on you Jersey Jack. "Pure Imagination" by Newman and Bricusse is true beauty. Was my wedding song. Can't go wrong with this game. Good luck. Now test the heck out of it. :)
The OLED integration is one of the improvements to the gaming experience and play. Ghostbusters is an outstanding example of that. The game is a toughie, but entertaining and is in my opinion one of the better of the revival games.
After absolutely falling in LOVE with Ripleys Believe It or Not, finally after an entire year my LE Wonka has arrived!!! Will pick up in 3 days !! First JJP pinball
Such an amazing game! Great video as always! It's very cool to see pat lawlor in a video like this. I'm also happy to see Joe being the lead programmer on a game as well.
I enjoyed this over the twitch stream. (no offense to Buffalo as I love their streams). The game sound was just low enough that I could only hear the background music over and over and over and over..... This video showed me a lot of angles of the game I wanted to see. Hearing Pat was a great bonus. Thanks!!!
This is AMAZING! I need this and a Goonies Machine if it ever comes out. Was going to ask my wife if I could get this, until I saw the price Holy Shit! Guess I will have to wait until I find my Golden Ticket.
Your normal gameplay videos is okay as well, but for me it is all about getting to know the layout and understanding of the game. The best way to do that is these close ups you do as well as an explanation or walk through of the shots, like you also do in your reviews. This is next level high quality shit :-) Nice!
This is awesome! I was never really good at pinball, mostly due to video games like Lunar Lander, Space Invaders, Asteroids, Gunsmoke, etc. This is absolutely beautiful and I love the details about one of my favorite movies. I'd love to play this!
it takes a long time of playing to get good at it. Also watching someone who is at a high level of play helps too. Probably same thing goes with all the other games you play.
Vegan M : In general most good pinball players grew up with it. But anyone can practice anything and become skilled at whatever that might be. As a youngster, the first video games (and many more that followed) were fascinating to me. As a 51 year old now, the mechanical ingenuity of pinball is far most interesting because it's so uncommon now. Thanks for the response!
Great Idea from a time when I was a kid! Good thing Lawlor is an older guy or this may never have been made, especially to today's standards and beyond. Can't wait to play it!
Just got back into pinball big time and I have to tip my hat to Zen studios. Their tables are so awesome. Also, midway tables, though fun, were just meant to be a money pit. Flippers on midway tables are way small and spread out.
Man this is the one I’m going for someday. I wanted a Wizard of Oz but this is way more nostalgic and although I like WoO designs, Twilight Zone is one of my all time favorite tables that I use to play at the Golf and Stuff where my soon to be wife used to work at way back and to get a chance at owning a modern table designed by the legendary Pat Lawlor is too good to pass up.
Great to see Pat Lawlor doing what he does. I miss Williams. I'm glad to see Jersey Jack restoring that magic back. I wish you guys we're doing the new Black Knight . I hope it's good! Stern just doesn't seem to have the quality it used to have in the day. Not on par with your machines. Keep up the great work Jersey Jack! You are the Music Makers, you are the Dreamers of Dreams!
For anyone wondering, I found it on Spotify as Pure Imagination by Pixels. Doesn't have the quotes in it though. There's some good lofi versions too If you just search willy Wonka lofi
I want one!! “We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams.” “If the good lord intended us to walk, he never would've invented roller skates.”
I wish they put that bumper between the 2 bottom flippers , I hate it when you flip both flippers and the ball goes straight down the middle. I always liked to play the pinball machines with that bumper added between the 2 bottom flippers.
I received mine last night. When I start a game two balls come out the trough and it screws up every game. Pretty disappointed to start off this way with a 10k game. Now no help until Monday I’m sure fixing it.
