It's probably Colin Baker's best story(next to "Revelation of the Daleks"). The commentary on reality TV and also TV violence is even more relevant today. It got criticised, but I think very unfairly - and the critics were missing the point. It also introduced the character of Sil. Philip Martin did a great job - it's just a shame that he only got to write one more Dr. Who story.

I agree, and I like The Two Doctors as well. Colin's stories are pretty good, if you just sit down and watch them. Oh, apart from Timelash. We'll let that one slip.

I agree with Eric, Doctor who is not a kiddie show like what the writers in the Matt Smith era thought it was.

'Vengeance on Varos' a classic story from the era of the Sixth Doctor. Colin Baker possibly the most underrated Doctor of them all. 'Vengeance on Varos' is certainly one of the best of the all too brief era of the Sixth Doctor.

Cool video! I love the new features on these re-issued editions, but there are tons of Doctor Who stories still not avalible on DVD. Why not finish the collection or existing stories before re-issuing some of the episodes again? Or better yet finish making the series avalible before the DVD format vanishes.

I like the new cover a massive improvment from the earlier release, but it is a long wait this does'nt even come out till 10th September, why not show sneak peaks from The Ace Adventures boxset or The Death to the Daleks DVD

Harold Pinter writing a Dr Who story? It would have to be AUSTERE and feature a lot of pauses. The Sixth Doctor needed a lot of pauses. He could pause forever for all I care.
