Just saw King Crimson live in Austin Tx. This new guy is just great and it was a killer show. A lot of older stuff was played that rang true in a way that only King Crimson can pull off. Including Starless... holy wow. Just killer vocals and guitar. Don't miss a chance to catch them live.
Jakko's such a talented, versatile performer, and always seems to be just a genuinely good guy. Love listening to him talk about his career and, frankly, just about anything.
Jakko's hilarious and outrageous Kinks story, replete with umbridled sibling rivalry that understands no bounds, that Jakko related in some other interview, always makes me laugh my brains out incredulously. It is certainly a textbook example of an aging rock star asshole employing unwitting fine musicians for private sadistic ends, which are not in the service of music. So thank heavens for King Crimson.
2 personalities sprang to mind every time, as I watched him play & sing with KC... Marlon & Napoleon. After this interview, a third is revealed Don Johnson. Yet overall, he's damn likable. Especially that don't be an asshole advice!
