Keith Thurman getting injured had a major effect on 2024. Tim probably would’ve stopped Keith and then fought Errol or Crawford this year.

It goes back further than that. The Charlos fucked up a lot. Mall being a drunk and having his brother step in against Canelo coming off a broken hand sunk the 154 division big fights momentarily. Hopefully we'll get some unification bouts soon

The same PBC that gave Tim the Fundora option that he chose and the same PBC that’s still in his corner on his way back to the top! So if Tim would have won do you not think Spence would have enter the ring?? Spence was there to challenge the winner. @umso4l I wasn't thinking for a ranking spot. I was thinking if Tszyu wins the title, Madrimov would make a good 1st defense. But Madrimov has to fight in the interim. He can't simply wait after a loss. He has to get back in there, or he'll lose his confidence.

Can see what Paulie's saying but I think PBC prob acknowledged that they "owe" Tszyu one for not pulling the pin in Fundora fight, hence the reason he's got a title shot even though he's coming off a loss.

Paulie is wrong. Tim would've gotten the Spence fight, had he won. That was made clear prior to the bout. Spence was always going to get the winner.

The loss to Fundora, believe it or not, was a good thing for Tszyu. It has made him a better fighter. We'll all see it in 5 weeks' time.

@FootballMatrix Say whatever you want. He lost that night to Fundora by split decision. Yes, he's corner fuck it up by not stopping it before round four, it's all water under the bridge now. He is a better fighter now, and apart from losing the WBO belt, nothing else has changed.

Presently, Tim is preparing to fight a very tough fight against a champion and a good opponent. Paulie and Chris are both great fighters and we love their commitment and comments. Fundora is an excellent young man, but it was clear Tszyu was much better than him. It is a shame that Tszyu isnt the mandatory rematch. It makes no sense to stay with PBC.

@@FeralDropbear well they failed him for the Fundora debacle during the fight and then after it they couldn’t even get a rematch because they failed negotiations and got the bad deal

@@JD-re3cj only the ring Dr or the referee can stop the fight. The team can give an indication but Tim obviously wanted to keep fighting, he still just lost on a split decision so it wasn’t that much of a debacle. Fighter contracts at that level get very complicated with both teams amending contracts which often takes months of negotiations, I’m sure if they had the chance to put a rematch clause in at that short notice they would have.

Became Bobachuk vs Ortiz cos Tim's cut on top of head from Fundora wasn't healing quick enough to allow sparring. Hopefully one day but Turki owns Ortiz & not wanting to work with Tim's team things difficult.
