When All Black Lives Matters, an acknowledgment of The Unbalanced American Recognition & The Systemic Bigotry and Racism "Taught through EXCLUSION/INCLUSION of Black, Brown, Asian Cultures and How they are mentioned/used in Our American History Books to teach these values", Do You Know Who Built The Whitehouse? When we can acknowledge that American History Excludes Many American Cultures that are a Part of That History... then we will Know That this Nation has started on the Path Towards Healing A True Acknowledgement of American Values through True American History... and work towards ... Hmm...what comes to my mind is the fact that the King foundation charged $800K for the privilege of erecting the monument on the Washington mall. As if that honor wasn't sufficient. It's a shame the greatness and wisdom of the father didn't pass along to his children.

You should check your history, the government probably owes the King foundation much more then that. Having your statue on the Washington Mall isn't as big an honor for some as it is for others. MLK's son was only ten when his dad was murdered, so you can stick your visions of grandeur.

@@michaelthomas7898 Well, I think you can count on one hand the number of Americans who have a monument in their honor at the Washington mall. I think the honor is deserved. I'm just annoyed that his family had the gall to ask for $800,000.00 when the country is trying to honor his legacy.

Theodore Olson Well, MLK was trying to bring peace among Americans and he was killed for it. They could at least given them the reparations which is what happened here.

@@leviathannathan92 I disagree with the characterization of calling it "reparations". I don't understand why some people don't think it's an honor to have a monument at the Washington mall? How long has the Lincoln Memorial been there? It's world famous. Thousands of people visit every year right? Dr. King's monument will be there for hundreds of years and revered by millions. That's all I have to say.
