Despite what some people may think I have huge respect for the footballer Mason Greenwood was before his career was put on hold. I genuinely believed he would become a world superstar. Possibly one of our best ever. I loved the kid. I'm gutted that he messed things up and is consequently still in limbo. What I wish is that he does not make the same mistake Ravel Morrison made and instead surrounds himself with the right people who will help him rebuild his life and his career. Maybe I am wrong, time will tell. But I firmly believe the only way he can get his life back on track is away from the spotlight at Manchester United. For the sake of his own mental health and the good of his young family I sincerely hope he can be allowed to do this and finds a safe haven where he can move on. We'd all love to wave a magic wand and have a mint condition Mason Greenwood free of controversy and back playing for United. But the situation he's in is the reality. Even if United do gamble on taking him back I expect it will be a very long road for him to get back to where he was. And I think it's unrealistic to expect anything else. Sadly there is no ideal solution. Whatever the next step, I hope that the club will make a decision soon so that Mason can move on. JG

Don’t think I’ve mentioned Mason Greenwood since the week his video dropped that resulted in the charges that have since been dropped. Before that I was a huge supporter of Mason Greenwood the footballer.
A bloke who thought knighton would be the ideal candidate to take over united, trying to finish off a generational talent with one last nail in the coffin.
@zebmars8944 true but hes had the shock of his life. I was totally against mason coming back originally but then when you sit back and look at it. She was still living with him the whole time, they've now got a baby together which doesn't just happen accidently. When it was announced by the Courts that the case was dropped it wasn't just a case of the key witness living and having a baby with mason, the court clearly stated that new evidence came to light that voided the case. If she's living with him with their baby getting on with life, then surely he can get on with his career. Other food for thought is, what would you do as a father if it was your daughter? Harriet's father stood by Mason the whole time, we don't know the whole story clearly.
Moral dilemma is that we have a womans team too, and they're making massive progress. Like stated in the video it would create a tear between them and the men's team if he was given permission to play for United. And dont come here and say that womans team arent to care for, its Manchester United just as much as the academy. Best thing is to let him go, sell him off to another country.

I’ve watched the video/listened to the video from his Wife. I’m confused how people have now associated the clip too RAPE. Or it is then the picture circulated with a bloody lip. How do you know that was the same incident? Did he hit her within a sexual assault or was the bloody lip from a general relationship fight? There is no evidence or reason for people to even mention the word Rape. If they were going to jump to conclusions they could’ve mentioned women beater but at both of their ages when the incident occurred that wouldn’t really have given the impact they wanted. So the best thing to tarnish the kid and make it stick is to jump to the word Rape. Ex. This RU-vidr used the same trick when posting his video. yes especially when you consider the fact manchester united bought a goalkeeper(onana) who was banned in 2021 for 10 months bc of doping. So why shouldn't they let a innocent man return to the club?
No. I’ve been going to OT since 1965 and I’ve made films with many legends and ex players. I was a huge cheerleader for mason before his career hit pause. He was destined to be a world superstar. Maybe one of our best ever. But he’s going to need time and space away from United to rebuild his life and his career. That’s my belief. I may be wrong. But I don’t think I am. We will see. JG
The vast majority of football fans (99.9%) love Mason Greenwood. However, some journalists and RU-vidrs have been critical of him, likely due to their own personal agendas.
If that was your dad he’s in serious need of media training. That’s not the way you speak to people. And he knows it. Especially as I’d already spoken to Mason’s father during the session and promised not to film his grandchild. He never said don’t film Mason.

And I have unsubscribed from this channel - I would expect this from a rival fan or propagandist channel. Truly, Greenwood acted inappropriately, however, there has been a reconciliation between him and the said person, even leading to a new kid. Are we saying people do not reform? and we must forever hold their old deeds over their heads? - He is a new father, has reformed, life needs to go on. And not some chat about "not wanting him in the jersey or what the women's team think - people need second chances. come on!
Respectfully sir, there was no need for you to be filming him be it him being on the clubs payroll or not. You just like myself and everyone else is waiting for the clubs verdict, there's no need to for the lack of a better word, haunt him and film him. Sometimes you just need to allow for privacy, not every single thing needs documentation. The same way you might think this video would be useful for people to see what he's up to, is the same way someone could feel triggered just by seeing it and for what purpose then?
mason greenwood has been given plenty of space. and unlike just about every other media outlet I've not commented on his situation since the week his alleged misdemeanours were leaked all over social media. I think we're owed an update.

Really difficult one for the club. In many ways, the charges being dropped and no court proceeding taking place was the worst thing that could happen. If he was found innocent or guilty, utd would at least have the backing of the law enforcing a decision.
Until we go to heaven humanity will have mistakes and errors, what is remarkable and a true miracle is a transformed individual. Allow the young man to continue with his life, learn from his mistakes and be an example to others that transformation is possible. We can't have societies that operate on zero sum rules.
we genuinely need him knowing that he could convert small chances he got with his shot. at least Antony should be worried for now, because I knew who I would pick for that right wing position if Mason does came back. NHS Greenwood is on different kind of level with what Antony could offer for the team
I dont get this video. He shouldnt play for utd but he should still play football??? F'in make your mind up. People in love do stupid things and say stupid things to the ones we love most. The kid has issues like every house. Clearly his partner, mother of his child. Soon to be wife. Managed to forgive him. Its her opinion that means the most. We are United we don’t abandon our own, he was not found guilty of anything, did he mess up yes ! If the police and the court and the girlfriend are not going to crucify him , I’m not going to do that either , if United drop a boy that has been with us since he was a 6 years over some mess up he made as I teenager because of outside influences then something is really wrong with us, Giggs ,John terry has done worse stuff. Give the boy a second chance ,if he does anything remotely close to that then drop him.Rival fans can’t tell us what to do with our own player. Whatever happened was as much United fault as his ,he’s been here since he was 6 years any character development is on the club too it’s been his whole life , we just get young children use them for most of their life, when an uncomfortable situation pops up are we seriously going to drop him? So why would the next parent allow their kid come through the youth system, the club needs to keep him and properly mold him into a good and balanced human being ,it’s not only football our pride as a club that builds character is at stake, Garnacho was showing some bad traits and ten hag nipped it in the bud,OLE was obviously running a mad house and allowed everyone do what they liked especially the youth players, even Rashford was put in check by ten hag, a lot of our academy players has been showing undesirable traits and that is the club’s fault.whether we want to hear it or not.
He looks like your average Sunday league player here. As good as anyone else, nothing special to see. If anything he looks deflated, a shadow of his former self.
What do you gain in destroying this young boy reputation...? Mind you I think you workbin the part of destroying his reputation finding fault in everything the young talent do why do you there to film him why wicked soul you derived happiness in making others to feel pain.
As a Father of a young girl myself,i find it odd how Harriets dad has stood by Mason, because if jmhe had done to my daughter what we think he did to his, then the police wouldnt have been involved, only conclusion is there is more than meets the eye.
Yh I think every parent would feel the same as you in this situation. Either the parents love the money or there's more to the eye. This is why I personally don't mind him coming back to the club, if the girl can forgive him and the families around them also and feel like he's actually changed and learnt from a terrible thing, who are we on social media to say no way should he be able to play again.
I fear if he comes back and plays for MUFC it will cause a massive rift or divide in the fan base. There's 3 types of fan opinion on MG: - Those who are convinced he's sex offender/ an abuser of women and should not play for MUFC. - Those who believe he was innocent through the legal process a d should return. - And thirdly, there are those who are open minded and believe the full truth was not revealed as it rightfully shouldn't be to protect the victims in the case, and therefore there is not right or wrong Personally I agree with you. A loan to another country would benefit most and re-evaluate at the end of next season. Just my personal opinion though. Thanks for sharing your footage and opinions also.

Im not saying he was wrongfully arrested but people need to seriously get a life n just leave the guy alone . Funny how hes been investigated for around a year yet the courts have dropped the case but here everyone is making judgement calls on him. Jealous and bitter towards him because hes famous. As a journalist you claimed, you're very biased. I'm a journalist too; in fact, a serial award winner, locally and internationally. It's because of your bias that you didn't greet or introduced yourself when you sneaked in to film his training and loaded same into social media. Millions, and I mean millions of Manchester United fans and Mason Greenwood fans all over the world, who keyed into the campaign I launched for Greenwood in Nigeria in 2022, have now keyed in, calling for his recall daily. Fans make the club. So, a 2-year old female team that has no trophy to its name has no basis to stop Greenwood's recall, whose charges, by the way, has since been dropped even as his girlfriend is now the proud mother of his baby. He's a young teenager, who has the potential and capacity to be the best, mentoring others to become better too. Only fake fans of United like you would pray and advocate never to see him wear United shirt again. #BringbackGreenwood now!
There are a lot of inaccuracies and ill informed guesswork in your comment. Mason is no longer a teenager. He’s 21. The reason I was there was because I was filming something else Man Utd related on the next pitch. Pure coincidence mason was there training. And I spoke to his father andrew initially so there was no secret that I was there filming. I think you will find match going fans are split down the middle on whether or not mason plays for United again. Personally I’ve been going to OT since 1965 and I raved about Mason from the moment he made the first team. One of the most natural talents we’ve ever had. How his career has been derailed is gutting. But talent alone is not enough at the elite level. Just look at Ravel Morrison. And Mason is clearly a very long way from being ready to play in the PL whatever the club decides they are going to do with him. Whether or not he’s guilty or innocent is not the only criteria. It’s just not that simple I’m afraid.
Your opinion doesn't matter in this case. Greendwood deserves a second chance. Im 100% sure you might be equally nasty or stained in your own way albeit well covered. ....dont be a judge and wait for the club's decision.
Genuine question as you stated you're uncomfortable with him playing for United due to the accusations - did you feel the same about Ronaldo when he returned?
wow, this is worse than what I had expected. Noone knows what he has being doing with himself since January 2022. Drugs? Alcohol? Diet? Gaming all day? Exercise? Loosing that much time and momentum at such a young age, along with the psychological damage of all the negative press is gonna be so hard. I think he deserves a second chance, but it will most likely be on loan or in the U-23s. If he's this rusty, it might be over for him.
he couldnt have lost it completely if players retired for decades like beckham or pirlo still have great shots, he just needs confidence back cause he'll definately recieve a lot of boo's in the crowds
@ManUtdTheReligion You said they never asked who you were. It's one thing to watch, it's another thing to film. Did you bother asking if you could film the session before you started filming at all? Did you care to introduce yourself to show you're not filming for negativity? What was your motif going out there to film him? To show youre not comfortable with him playing for United, right? That is exactly why they don't want you filming. They wouldn't like someone going out there, pushing the agenda of United getting rid of Mason.
I very much hope he will play in the 1st team this coming season. The law is wrong to name the accused in these cases as the stigma can do more damage than being found guilty. It looks like he has made a bad judgement but there is not evidence enough to find him guilty of anything other than stupidity. 10 Hag needs to support him not play woke games. Sorry but the women's team should have no say in this or any matter to do with THE team. I do agree a loan deal for him is the best way forward.
I respect your opinions David. Ultimately i think this transcends football. And that’s partly what makes it such a difficult situation. If it had been straight forward we would not still be waiting for the club to decide what to do. JG
@@ManUtdTheReligionit is straightforward, and it doesn't transcend football, because it was a domestic matter that somehow found its way into the public domain. Those who know the full story have forgave and moved on. We know 1% of the story. Those are the facts. Now In my opinion. All Il say is Ryan giggs. We all knew and there are Manchester based fans who knew even more. We all said we support the footballer and only the footballer. We also classified him as a legend. Again. Knowing full well of his private life. Let’s get back to the good old days please when we didn’t act like such wet wipes. Mason and those involved have stuck together through all of this. End of. Move on. Stick to football.
I think I watched him come through the youth teams and at 15 he had what it takes, right now im 50/50 whether he should play again for MU, United keep kicking the can down the road, if this was 33 years old injury prone player he would have shown the door, bye the way keep up the good work,
He’s a footballer kicking a football and he’s still being paid by our football club. His father did not say stop filming my son. He said don’t film my grandchild. So I didn’t.
It’s hardly his first misdemeanour. Obviously not the same. But he was kicked out of the England squad for smuggling a young Icelandic lady into his hotel room breaking covid protocols and embarrassing his girlfriend who’s now his fiancé. At the time I defended him and criticised Southgate for throwing him under the bus. But sadly he didn’t learn and maybe he needed stronger managment at United
I personally hope he does play for utd again, he's a good player. Utd just worried about the reaction from the media, sponsors and rival fans abusing him, which he'll have to get use to, even rival players will try and get a reaction from him to get him sent off.
He ain’t the first nor the last player to be in huge controversy. Giggs And Rooney were both supported by the club, so Greenwood should be supported too. Period
Troy Deeney, Joey Barton, Jonathan Woodgate, Duncan Ferguson, Mickey Quinn, Tony Adams, Dennis Wise, Ched Evans, Lee Hughes, Luke McCormack - all convicted of criminal offences (most of them were jailed). Yet they were all able to return to play football. And yet some people want Greenwood (who hasn't been convicted of anything) to be erased from football.
