I’m just curious Hood Stocks said he did time like 10 years in the pinta , but I myself feel like all of San Diego has a responsibility to maintain integrity in the streets . I myself feel used the cholo at the border are fake in culture. San Diego acts like a bad broken spirit, there’s no need to worry amongst your own culture. I just thought you were the richest man among men ,
Wow I read "The power of now" last year! So happy it's mentioned here. I read it during my dark times and it really helped me with the way I think and my consciousness by the end of it. Definitely worth a read 👍
I'm surprised other rappers that have gotten on here never asked u to get on an album with them...u got some real talent Lucky..... u should take advantage of that invitation from Mr. Lil One.
Lucky , you said one thing that stood out to me , you said maybe you should wait to drink and party till after the interview, that seems to be a great idea because sober I can really put up with 2 hours of your interviews , I had said something negative about your style of interviewing being disrespectful and annoying in your lil g episode , I can see you making changes . Props my boy you had some great points today and I got to learn more about Mr lil 1 , can’t wait to hear that jam with you and the San Diego Og’s
The 805 has been lucky to have homies not really say the N word not saying all of them but mostly all Oxnard Ventura and surrounding areas are blessed to have solid chicanos and the 619 certain areas as well love MR.LIL ONES music SHADOW RIP KNIGHTOWL and can't forget LIL ROB
Bro if it wasn’t for my cousin I wouldn’t of ever found mr. lil one. Dude is talented most definitely. I myself don’t usually listen to sureno music but by far in my opinion lil one got it.. My cousin from 38st listened to him way back in the 90s when lil one came out.
I like this upper echelon of intellect in your podcast, you should have him back and have him getting interviewed by Casey!. There is a thrist of knowledge and inquisitive nature in Casey. I think it would get deep for your podcast and another realm of perspectives to it on opening more doors.
True G …. great example Mr lil 1 humble and mature is priceless. Big difference from lil g crying that he’s the best… it’s just music . Stop putting a label on ourselves. There’s no black rap Mexican rap white rap….music is timeless!!!!😂
Y'all tripping Lil Rob did talk like that and he may not have been a super Lyricist like Shadow and lil one but he had bars and was unique and was better than a lot of these other fools out there especially in the Chicano rap game
Yeah lil rob is original and has flow and unique bars where these lames just sound like east coast underground horror core rap except they can rap in Spanish..chales
I used to live in felony flats Portland back in the days through out the 90s it's underrated and extremely active still always has been it's actually worse now! Shout out to Oregon!
Lil one been one of the homies I listened too the most as I was grew up here in the hood city of Compton im late 80s homie but in this interview I can see lil one grew up to get smarter 💯 real ass homie solid as foo shout out to lucky for gud ass interview 💯 keep it up dawgg
Shadow & lil one have some if not the best rap albums of all of the Southside 90s gangsta rap catalog. Never really liked lil rob too much but recognized his place.
Chicano rap to me was “ese vato,Simon” so when latino rappers dont want to be labeled as “Chicano music” I get it because that’s what people think is “ese, vato, Simon” and that they can’t lyrically rap. I bumped both lyrically and culture music(Chicano rap). MR lil One has evolved lyrically and fluidly hes in his prime.
I see Lucky didn't take mushrooms this time lol.. Faded Lucky would of said something wild for sure when that female called in to the interview.. And Mr. Lil One speaking facts and knowledge like he always does.. I liked how he answered the question about the best Chicano rappe.. He doesn't want to put anyone above the next person because he knows they have all done their part and he considers it just music.. If more people had his mind set they would be able to push their music career further in the industry..
Damn why lucky gotta be hating on Lil Rob like that. I don’t think any of us ever talked like that. But Lil Rob still got some dope ass music. Interview was dope! Muck love to Lil One! 💯💯
Lol yea I notice that to , it’s kind of crazy cause when you ask any one to name Chicano rap rappers I can guarantee 99% of the people who know what that is would say lil rob’s name in that list . You know what I noticed tho , I noticed there has to be some sort of competition between people in the same sport it’s impossible for every one to like every one that’s what drives motivation in some people , so I get it.
I support Lucky, but i agree, i think he said he grew up punk or goth, they never liked the cholo style and the cholos never liked that goth punk style, from what i saw cholos 43:50 usually picked on the goth kids and they are still bothered by it, if u watch Dubs podcast he says the ones that were victimized the most are the ones that hate the most, rhe cholo style was more appealing to chicanos youngsters than goth and punk rock, I aint either but I know what i see
