Perfect timing for this study. The comment the counselor said about not applying what you learned in the Boundaries book really resonated with me. I've had such a negative mindset all my life due to criticalness in my family and the religion I grew up in. I'm so quick to think and say something negative about everything. While I may exude joy around others in public, I struggle to have a true joy. I read a lot, but don't apply what I learn. I am looking forward to putting the words of James into practice. Thank you for having this study.

Hi, Margaret & Faith Gateway Family! I’m watching the replay from Louisiana. This study couldn’t have come at a better time in my life! I am currently facing many trials: from several physical ailments; depression, anxiety, and stress; and isolation/loneliness; to financial hardship; guilt; and fear. I can definitely relate to what you were saying in the beginning about reading, studying, meditating on, and memorizing the Bible, but not applying it and living it out. The Bible says so many times not to fear, yet, lately I seem to live in constant fear and anxiety that negatively affects my life and decisions. I do try to surrender and lay it at His feet, but it returns day after day. All thanks be to God, though, because I haven’t lost hope; HE is my hope and I do believe every word in the Bible! One of my favorite verses is Romans 8:28: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (KJV)” I just need to start living out this belief and dare to have defiant joy! Thank you for the time and effort that you put into this study! I look forward to the coming lessons.
