Join me as I wheel into the world of sophistication and spy intrigue as I venture to Bonhams in London for a preview of the "Sir Roger Moore The Personal Collection" auction. In this video, not only do I have the privilege of exploring the exhibits, but I also score a one-on-one interview with a member of the Bonhams team, who guides me through the treasures on display and even treats me to a sneak peek at some EXCLUSIVE items not yet revealed to the public.
Embracing the essence of black tie elegance, fast cars, and the allure of shaken Martinis, I'm transported into the world of James Bond, where Sir Roger Moore reigns supreme. Renowned for his unforgettable portrayal of the iconic spy in seven films, including "Live and Let Die," "The Spy Who Loved Me," "For Your Eyes Only," "Octopussy," and "A View to a Kill," Moore became synonymous with style and sophistication.
More than just a cinematic legend, Sir Roger Moore epitomized British cool and became a style icon of his generation. From his charismatic roles in "The Saint" to the charisma of "The Persuaders," he left an indelible mark on the world of entertainment.
As a special treat, my exclusive interview offers insights into the incredible collection of personal items once owned by Sir Roger Moore. Not only do I get to explore the exhibits, but I also get an early preview of some items not yet unveiled to the public. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience history firsthand and to pay tribute to a man whose legacy has left an enduring impact.
Mark your calendars for October 4th, as Bonhams opens its doors to showcase the remarkable lots from Sir Roger Moore's personal collection, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of his inaugural appearance as the legendary 007. Join me on this cinematic journey filled with elegance, sophistication, and exclusive insights that offer a unique glimpse into the life of a true icon.
Thank you to Joseph and all the team at Bonhams for making this video possible.

Sir Roger for me will always be 1st Simon Templar. The Saint was probably the first TV show that I loved as a small child and I was obsessed with it! Much to the dismay of my mother, I would draw the Saint logo stick figure everywhere! RIP Sir Roger.

Sir Roger was an icon of the British entertainment industry during the height which for me was the 60’s and 70’s He and his peers like Burton, Connery, Harris, O’Toole, Bates, Reed and many more are no longer with us except Michael Caine I suppose Roger over many decades collected ‘stuff’ which his family have kindly put up for auction in a couple of weeks time There was at the start of 2022 an auction of personal items belonging to Michael which fetched a large amount of money 🇬🇧🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿❤️❤️👍 👍 🤶

Before The Saint Roger Moore was already a big star in Holland because of Ivanhoe. Most episodes have been collected by a friend of mine, only two or three are missing. Ivanhoe has been broadcasted many times in Holland and various books and comic strips were released a long time ago. I have 'met' him once during a book signing at Schiphol Airport and I saw him briefly during the première of A view to a kill in Amsterdam. Incidently, the same Aston Martin that was in The Persuaders is right here in the town where I live. I mean the model. In the same colour too. This made an enormous impression on me. Ofcourse, I couldn't own an Aston Martin, but the Japanese Mazda 929 coupe is from the same periode and has the same elegant lines.
