A nearly 100-acre plot of land at Scottsdale Road just north of Loop 101 is the potential future home of the Arizona Coyotes. ABC15's Javier Soto sat down with Coyotes CEO and President Xavier Gutierrez for an exclusive interview about their big plans for the development.

There is no way the surrounding neighborhoods will allow this! N Scottsdale and Phoenix are home to upscale neighborhoods, shopping and HQs. We don't need a tacky stadium and "entertainment center" that will become another trashy Glendale Westgate.

Him saying relocation will happen if they don’t win this bid not only puts pressure on those bidding against him, but also will help drive the cost down. Who wants to be the ones that force an nhl team to move.

That's inaccurate. The Coyotes chose not to renew a longer term lease with West Gate. Even Glendale city officials have responded to these "West Gate threw them out" falsehoods.

Except the team has fans. And sponsors. Phoenix is the 11th largest metro in the USA. It's a big four city plus MLS. The Yotes just need a permanent home.

The Phoenix market may be fairly substantial in the US for entertainment revenue purposes, but it's a bad look for the NHL when they televise games with a more than half empty brand new arena. It's not a case of if you build it they will come. If that were the case then the team would sell out consistently in the 5,000 or so seat arena it currently plays in without the assistance of the visiting teams' fans. Time to move to Salt Lake City, Kansas City, Houston, maybe even Atlanta. Gary won't allow another team in Canada unfortunately. Quebec City would make the most sense but it won't happen.

there is no off ramp , and no exit to this raw desert land from any road. , you are wrong gutierrez , nor any infrastructure , no power , no sewer , no gas lines , no water , of course that work will need to be initiated and completed prior to getting the arena work underway , hope the auction is won on june 27, 2024 , and the work can get underway.
