Lady Marmalade was kinda Kim's song, because she was the only artist featured to contribute something new to the record. Missy slayed the production, and Pink, Mya and Xtina were great vocalists, but Kim didn't really cover the song, she added a shiny, new verse.

What people need to do is listen to what Kim says in songs recorded years ago-some much more recent-and in a lot of Nicki's songs the same lyrics can be heard. This isn't new and Kim has actually been quiet about it far longer than I expected. Some of Nicki's lyrics are strikingly similar and some are just plain old the same. Nicki throws a lot of subliminal stuff on her songs. She probably didn't have Gangsta Boo in mind when she wrote some of the stuff she said. What's funny is that people don't care about the total lack or creativity or originality in something called an ART!Either music isn't art or Nicki isn't a real artist. I feel what Trina is saying, but how can a artist show love when they are constantly throwing shots at you? I say this bc, when Nicki first came i was loving Nicki bc she gave me that Lil Kim swagger, then i did seen her interviews and she would not say she idolize Lil Kim, better yet, pattern my career after Kim, then i hear Niki quoting Kim rhymes, then throwing shots at her. I think Nikki really disrespected Lil Kim - she constantly insults through her music - and furthermore - she claims to be not a rapper, but a business entertainer - she is very condescending through her interviews and quite frankly - Lil Kim had no choice but to come back at her (in a business level and on the street level). Roman's Revenge was so messed up and it is about kim, Nicki sounded MAD! She wants that crown, but I think she is destroying a part of a hip hop legacy just to get it!
