Dato Samy velu had been following Tun M too long. The mindset and the way he spoke also looked like him. I still admire him for he could be MIC's President for so long a record quite hard for future presidents to break. He has his strong and weak points, nevertheless he is a great politician in malaysian context. The only thing I feel sorry for him at his retirement ages he has to face a civil suits from "so called mistress" to claim maintenance fees from him, but vehemently objected by his son, hopefully this matter can solve amicably so he can live in peace for the last phase of his life no matter up to what age. We wish him long life and live in peace of mind and happy.
See back, 10-years now! Samy vellu might not do enough for the Indians because of UMNO & Mahathir racist policy & blockage, but he certainly do his best for the Indian & Indian unity, compare to today clown's Government!

he is always a very good politician nevertheless, and he was a good leader too. corruption wise yeah, but who is perfect end of the day? and i dont get the logic of blaming a poor old man for each and every problems of individuals which they can solve by themselves most of the times.admire his confidence, bravery, and intelligence at this age.
For the past 2 generations, Malaysians especially the majority of the major community had been trained to seek rental as the sole mean of survival. How long this will take to change is any's guess. It may take another 2 generations, if we are lucky to retrain the mind to think that the survival of any nation is to be competitive as the general mindset of the whole world is changing. I think it is a waste of time interviewing such leaders who could only talk but pocketed all the aids due to his community! It is a waste of time!
