Nothing can match Dastaan, the historic drama with excellent performances by everyone especially by the leads- Fawad and Sanam. It is still my all time favourite. That is Fawad’s best performance till date. 👍

Well yes it was. It was in this drama that i ws like, wow! he can act. He had lost his accent, and he had the complacent mannerism of the 40s. And from then on i knew he will be a great actor.

I still remember when Fawad entered the stage of Alhamra to perform as EP's lead singer back in 2006. He looked very shy but his stage presence was so powerful.People mostly know him from Hamsafar, but for me, he is always that lead singer who sang " IK Ehsas hai key socha na tha" What Good Times 🎉
He seems careless and indifferent to everything around him. His dress sense ( probably his wife's) is of a very old man with short length coat, shirts and ties. He should give a try to T shirts, polo shirts and stylish jeans and leather jackets.

Hello, I wanted to share some feedback with you. I was excited about listening to this podcast, but unfortunately, I found the conversation to be quite vague. The dialogues lacked context, and it felt like two friends catching up on old topics. Many names were mentioned that were unfamiliar to us, and not enough insights were provided to help us understand the discussion better.
Thank God for this sensible comment! Also I found Fawad coming across as very unfocused, lacking direction in life, lacking a vision. At his age 40+ one would expect more wisdom not behaviour like a 20 year old. Also his criticism if tv was v poor just to justify himself!! Many great tv productions are long series like friends, breaking bad, turkish dramas etc so dont justify yourself by putting down tv. Grow up!!!
Yes indeed it is a loss for Indian industry but not for him because the role he was offered didn’t fit his standards in my opinion and maybe I can say on the behalf of 70% Pakistan . He was already a star in pakistan and I really wonder why even he signed that ! Maybe he didn’t recognise who he was!

I remember saying that at that time...hamsafaar story wasn't different...a typical saas playing against her bahu...husband not believing her wife.....it was actors which made it different includingfawad mahira and even naveen . it was chemistry which made it different.
Yeah It was a story portraying typical pak men....a story showing the love and sacrifices a mother makes ....beautiful execution,simple story,sizzling chemistry acted as cherry on the top❤
But humsafar was actually a novel published in digest first and the story was very well written. You don’t feel like it was a typical saas bahu story when you read it.
I miss this guy in Bollywood. Indian movies lost a talented guy. I love him as a person and always think "is bande mei kuchh to baat hai". I really hope he do great in the future.

Ahmed’s claim that Ali Zafar, Mahira, Fawad were a threat is wrong. Only Fawad Khan managed to make the cut in Bollywood. He was touted as the next best thing. Filmmakers were lining up to work with him. He was a superstar material and drop dead gorgeous too. The other two weren’t.. I can say this, because I’m from India and I used to follow all three.
I really felt bad when I heard that some of Fawad Khan 's scenes were cut in Ae Dil hai Mushkil. It's one of my favourite films. His scenes would have enhanced the movie a lot better.

I knew Fawad as an Pak actor during kapoor&sons. Then i was introduced to PTV during covid lockdown. I started surfing about Fawad, knew how talented he is, also accepted that there is nothing this man cannot do , I became a huge fan and will always be. Waiting for more of his projects. God willing he should be successful always.
It was a superb drama, and very painful to watch, Sanam Baloch and Fawad and also others were simply brilliant in dastaan! To me this and SRK’s dev Das were my most heart wrenching south Asian drama/ films I’ve watched!

Khubsoorat was beauty and the beast. The romance fawad khan created was unseen, I watched zindagi Gulzar hai few yrs back, big hype here in States. He is such a cute bacha, intelligent kid, not bad for an artist. Can’t wait for the continuation. Great way to spend this snowy Saturday in Chicago.
I loved him from Khuda ke liye that film with Shaan! And watched everyone of his dramas available on you tube of other streaming media! This man has such a velvety voice and in Maula Jutt just his eyes and facial expressions evoked such deep emotions with no. Dialogues. Pity his health issues and other priorities kept him away from doing dramas.,

Fawad is obviously not into women oriented themes but ironically he just shines in those M&B themes. He may not have enjoyed them but we adored him in zGH and Humsafar.
It's not the quality of my work that has made my career but the quality of my choices that has made my career - Fawad Khan , What a wise thing to say !!! I also think that Shahrukh khan has also become King more bcz of his choices, speaking of quality of work Ranbir has done more quality of work ..... In the long run i think it's the quality of choices that takes you far ahead .
Man, He speaks so well. More than his films, dramas and music. I like his interviews, he is such an inspiration, his opinions, views and philosophy about the things, roles and life is just amazingly clear, his thought process is just extra ordinary. I was fascinated by ep. Got the cassette and CD 💿, played it in our car for the first time, dad shut it down it was too noisy for him but me and my brother used to play when car was parked in garage , we use to enjoy it so much, use to bring cassette in my school van , im 30 now and my brother 22 and I live abroad, whenever we meet we headbang to your music. It was amazing and the lyrics were deep! Aghosh is my favourite, this interview is nostalgic!

I was in 8th and that's when Indus Music was on a boom with all these bands popping up and I had this hugest crush on this guy after which I was used to be called "fawadi" because I was that mad. I used to follow their forum and had his pictures saved in ny desktop and bought ep ki cassette and cds which everyone loathed in my household 😂 but it was only what I used to discuss with my friends for next 3 years. Attended his concert meanwhile in KC and came across him abd shook hands with him and I just sat down on the floor I was so shocked. As a 35 yo mom of two, I'd say I was so silly but it was a lovely time.
Being someone from the 90's I still find at hard to thing of Fawad as anything other than Fawad Afzal Khan. Those crazy headbanging days. Those concerts featuring EP and Noori. Those Red Bulls and those joints. Kya din thay. Full of life with not a single damn worry in the world

yar Ep wala part was so short, And this was the podcast I was waiting for where there was a good chance of actually getting to know the reason behind Ep's break up, but Fawad yet again being diplomatic there. I wish Ep would have continued just for another album or so, I still remember few songs from the second album, "Kya hota", "Rah ki Zuban" and "Awaaz" They were all signature Irtiqa album style songs. Pakistanis still have no idea with Ep's break up what we had lost it can never be replicated again. A line from the song Kya huta - Kya huta jo keh bhi dia huta jo main keh na saka, jo main khud say juda huta, maut apni jiya huta.....

EP back in 2006 was nothing but a treat for me as a teenager, i was 14 and my taste in music was evolving, i think i have an amazing taste for music and i really owe it all to these bands back in those years. I would sing and listen to waqt and hamesha on loop. We literally have seen a huge technological transformation, and can see how it brings about a change in cultures and societies.

not sure what happened to both of them. they had a class , a personality and charisma. both acted like wanna be actors on some cheap comedy show. the extra kala kola and the baby style hair cuts was too much to look at. the line of questioning was although good . good to see both of them though.
Haven’t we had enough of her already.. been hearing her say the same things a million times. He was probably talking about people like her for being available 24/7. There’s nothing nobody knows about her anymore. There’s a reason why people still miss Fawad and want to see him onscreen. I remember Aamir Khan was like this. Rightly said by Fawad in India we make soap opera or daily soaps not many series. If you want series then watch Panchayat, Yeh Meri Family, permanent Roommates, Gullak, Kaala Pani, Mirzapur, Pitchers, Family Man, Criminal Justice, etc. P.S.: He worked in 2 movies and 1 movie was a cameo ADHM, out of the 2 1 as flop and other was an avg at box office anfd you guys have a perception he was being compared to big dogs og bollywood? He clearly was being compared to the big dogs.. simply because he is a wonderful actor and because of the choices he made. I was one of his ardent followers (I’m an Indian) you know part of fan base and all. Every filmmaker wanted a piece of Fawad, he was supposed to do Padmavat, and so many other big films, not to mention he was already part of KJo clan. He also hosted IIFA. Actors like Ranveer Singh were envious of him. After he was shunned from the industry, some B grade Bollywood actors came out of the woodwork to extend their support to the ban. I was there and I witnessed the rise and fall of Fawad Khan in Bollywood. I know it’s hard to digest the fact that an outsider could be better than one’s own superstars. But given a chance he would’ve been one.

Fawaad is the superstar of Pakistan... When he was in EP he was a legend..then he entered acting and aced there too. Always been my most fav ... His comeback in MJ was truly amazing...
